AGV Pista GP-RR ECE 22.06 - Red Carbon

The quality of this is helmet is possibly the best I have ever seen. The carbon fibre construction is flawless and the overall construction is brilliant. The inside liner has a 360 system which allows you to customise the liner to you head shape for the best fit possible. It also comes with pads to assist with fit. I find it a comfortable fit but it is a race replica helmet, so the liner is not as soft as others. So you need to give your forehead some air after an 2 hours or so. The air vents work exceptionally well and allow for a decent flow of air. I haven't used it but the drinking system appears to be well constructed and easy to set up.

In terms of daily use, I commute everyday and the helmet is warm enough during the winter months with the vent openings being blocked with the rubber inserts provided. I have tried it without them and in the summer I am sure they will allow enough air to keep your head cool.

It is on the louder side but it is stripped down for a purpose. It's no louder than a retro styled helmet like the Bell Bullitt and other brands. I would say the noise is worth it for the protection that is offered.

This sizing runs on the smaller side. I originally ordered a medium but it was horrendously tight, you would need to order one size up. I returned the first helmet and SBS refunded without any issues and the service was excellent as usual. When it comes to sizing, the helmet has been designed to allow for sunglasses and glasses. This is an excellent feature as I wear glasses. It can be a sticking point with some helmets but it is in built. I can fit my chunky Oakleys into the slots without any issues and the helmet is still comfortable.

It is a stripped down helmet based on a racing design but it is comfortable enough to use for longer periods on the road and track. Not the best for comfort however I am certainly willing to sacrifice that for an extremely well made helmet with an excellent safety rating.
