Wriggling into a set of waterproofs is a motorcycling rite of passage. These are SBS customers’ favourite one-pieces…
Customers found the suit's design suitable for covering existing bike gear, highlighting its effective windblocking and waterproof capabilities. Many appreciated its easy fit over bulky clothing, although some mentioned minor sizing issues. Customers noted that the product maintained comfort during rain and cold weather, praising its functional construction. There was mixed feedback on actual waterproof performance, with some customers staying dry in rain while others experienced leakage. Despite some issues, the suit was often recommended for its overall quality, convenience, and crucial dryness assurance during rides.
Cost effective solution to keeping dry. Got caught in the mother of all storms in Denmark, suit was easy to put on over boots etc. Great cuffs at wrists and ankles and collar all kept water out. Packs up small in a stuff bag. Definitely worth buying
Bought for a trip around the Wild Atlantic. Came in handy and kept me dry during inevitable showers.
Quite bulky for what it is, even folded tightly it takes a lof of room in a rucksack.
The suit is good for the price but isn’t fully waterproof, I still got a bit wet on my stomach (heavy rain all day) but dry everywhere else.
I purchased this suit as a replacement for my 20yr old belstaff suit which had given up being waterproof. The suit is well made, comfortable to wear and as yet, waterproof. I purchased it in XL as I wanted it to fit over my alpinestars Andes 3. My normal sizing is large. My only niggle is with the body zip, which has an annoying habit of snagging the lining on the first 2/3rds of the zip. The upper end of the zip is fine, it’s just the bit which you have to tuck back into the suit when you put it on. It does have a rather handy little trick of being able to be folded inside out and into one of the pockets which can then be worn as a large-ish bum bag by the way of a built-in belt, which is a great way of carrying it when you are travelling. All in, I’m really pleased with it, especially at the price point that I paid for it. Good value for money
Kept me dry through some monsoons, but can leak if the zip flap gets folded in the wrong way. Can't get the legs on over boots, so not easy to throw on when the heavens open.
Second one in 5 years keeps my wife away from the elements every time it rains
Well I managed to book a motorbike trip to Luxembourg for the wettest weekend of 2025.
I'm not kidding, rain, hail, thunder and lightning - I had it all from the moment I left home in Essex to destination. In fact, the only dry bit was the Eurotunnel!
What can I say about suit, well I stayed dry the whole time. I have no complaints at all. It was a little long in the leg for me (5ft9) but this was fine as my boots were totally covered to the ankles. Even my neck stayed dry.
Yes it would be a little bit of a phaff getting it on in a hurry, but I can get pass that in the name of dryness
Great product, great price and great service from Sports Bike Shop as always. I made the mistake of ordering a larger size than was necessary, Sports Bike Shop changed it immediately without any hassle.
Was a great purchase, got soaked on the way to the boat for Scotland, stopped in to the superbike shop in Glasgow. Purchased this all in one suit, I was kept dry the rest of the weekend. Also the staff in-store where very friendly and helpful
Wanted a easy solution for wet commutes and this does not disappoint , super easy to put on and despite reading mixed reviews I’ve found it quite breathable , only had one wet outing so far but 45 minutes in torrential rain and I was bone dry , the key is making sure you don’t overdress underneath and the suit is quite generously sized so would recommend coming down a size , but all in all very happy
This isn't some thin Kagool type material this is a substantial rain suit that will keep you dry. Just be aware that you will get hot while wearing it, this isn't a breathable material.
Whilst I may not have yet been caught in a typhoon or monsoon, this definitely helps keep the rain out. It’s a little large so not one that just rolls into a tiny ball (so tends to go in a bag) but when the clouds open, it’s a godsend to be able to quickly step into and seal cuffs, neck and ankles. So far I’ve stayed dry inside the suit in showers and sideways rain. Good price as well so very content.
I brought this so I can continue to ride my bike to and from work and not worry about the unpredictable weather we have, the quality of this suit is amazing the only slight negative is the sizing, I usually have xl but on this think it should have been just a l as its very big
Easy to put on. Keeps you dry. Easy to dry and store. Excellent!
Travelled back from Cornwall to Kent, about 260 miles in torrential rain. Had the suit on with a pair of the over boots of the same name as well. Kept me totally dry. (I did have on a neck scarf as well so that kept the water out from there). Easy to get on, just take your time and open up all the zips first. Velcro flap across all the zips is good enough to keep out the rain on its own. The size chart put me at a medium, but I went for the large because I wanted a larger fit. Elasticated waist so no issues with it being over baggy.
The Richa Typhoon, is waterproof, easy to get on and fits over my bike gear, win, win, win!
