Gore-Tex not keeping out water? There's a different procedure to getting it sorted, and here's an explainer...
I hadn't intended to spend this amount but having tried several other brands that were not quite right, these Rukka trousers stood out for the quality of the fabric, the comfort of the fit and excellent armour. Would highly recommend.
Very expensive! Get that out of the way first. Thanks to great customer service I tried many jacket / trousers suits and settled on Rukka as it fits well, feels good and will hopefully last for years.
I'm 183cm and 95kg and take 32 x 32 jeans typically. The 50 Regular fitted nicely and left room for a thin thermal layer. The length is just OK, could do with another 1/2" on the bike but not as much as the Long option.
Cold and wet riding is as expected. 4 degrees C with thermal leggings was perfect for a 3 hour ride. Not used in warmer times yet so summer will be another test. I imagine they'll be quite warm so perhaps a pair of single layer jeans will be better.
Fit adjustment at the waist is good is good and the braces work well.
Overall very pleased with the trousers (and Jacket as bought as a set) and service from Reading.
Great fit very comfortable. Really good having the braces on this product.
Lots of vents to keep you cool and fits well over the top of my boots expensive yes but you get what you pay for very pleased.
Like so many people say
'Why did I not invest in Rukka gear years ago?'
These trousers are fantastic.
Comfortable, fully waterproof and give a good level and feeling of protection.
Can only comment on their use during adverse weather but there are vents which would make some sort of difference in warm weather.
I will probably not be wearing these in the summer though and choose more vented gear.
2 degrees Celsius at motorway speed and I was OK with just a normal base layer under.
I ordered a size bigger than my waist measurement to allow for layering and this is perfect as there is adjustability in the braces and belt and the armour is still in the correct placement for me
The pockets are a good addition and very practical. Perfect for having a wallet accessible.
Not too stiff or uncomfortable out of the packet either. But after a couple of rides they are even more comfortable.
Probably the best pair of trousers I have had so far.
The leather panels on the inside of the legs seems heavy duty but has started to wear down where I grip the tank. Hopefully this doesn't wear right through and get to the membrane.
Good openings and adjustability.
Look good and fit well over touring, adventure and trials boots with the velcro to cinch them in at the ankles.
Overall I am very pleased with these trousers.
If you're reading this you already know that these are not cheap trousers. Thankfully Klarna helps. First pair of Rukka I have had and I must say the quality and construction reaks of quality. The material is little rigid but this is common with the laminated style. Braces are firm and strong. This style has nice big adventure pockets as well as front and rear vents. As I type this I haven't had and heavy rain to test them properly but I am hoping this won't be a problem for the Rukka Brand.
