Reviews Sometimes simplicity wins, and the HJC V10 is a good example of that philosophy...

Customers are generally impressed with the helmet’s design, noting its attractive aesthetics and comfortable fit. Despite some experiencing wind noise and visor whistling at specific positions, the helmet remains a popular choice for its light weight and retro look. Some suggest opting for a larger size for better comfort. Features like effective vents and emergency release pads are appreciated, though the speaker recesses could be improved. Overall, customers find it stylish and a great value for money, enhancing their riding experience.
Never had a HJC before, so very important to check the fit, which Sportbikeshop do so well. Having watched the online Review by Sportbikeshop already, this helped me decide it was worth the drive to try on. The fit was very good, I’m a Large 59 in Shoei and this HJC V10 fits with even pressure all around with a generous clearance around the ears for those wishing to fit intercoms. Good field of vision (being retro), conventional double D ring strap so no concerns there. Visor mechanism doesn’t have several ratchet positions, mainly open/closed or mid, but fine and functional. The lock shut and release clip works well for me, but I read elsewhere this didn’t work well for some. Not used it long enough to have an opinion on ventilation, but seems like plenty on the chin bar. Overall I love the design, quality of finish and feel to this helmet .
Top marks to Sportbikeshop Boston, so helpful, price matched for me yet again. Why shop elsewhere?
I bought this helmet as I wanted something retro for my “cafe racer” bike.
This helmet is very comfortable to wear.
It looks great.
It has great view.
Easy to change visors.
Pinlock included in the box.
This V10 helmet is a great looking retro style helmet for starters. It fits nicely and comfortable. The pin lock feature is a nice addition too. Would I recommend this Helmet
HELL YES.
Excellent fit, Good weight, comes with free Pinlock. Looks cool. Great
This helmet is very comfortable and it looks great: very happy with my purchase. Size S fit me perfectly, true to size, and has space for glasses and intercom too. Shame that they have their own SENA-based system, but was able to take advantage of it to easily install a Cardo 4X: 40mm speakers fit perfectly and wires fill the back recess. Pinlock is a game changer: I was impressed by how effective it is. Haven't used it on very hot days, but I can see how the top ventilation was a bit of an afterthought.
Absolutely love this helmet. Extremely comfortable and hardly any noise too.
Reserved 2 sizes online went to store and dealt with Sophi who explained about fitment and also arranged posting my old helmet home for me. Fantastic service.
Fit was a bit tight, I normally have a small but had to go to a medium. The look and build is great, I'm not a fan of the pin lock. I have never had one before but found that It reflects inside the visor, which I didn't like.
It's also noisy, and because I had to go up a size the shell size is bigger so there is a lot of wind resistances. But I still like the helmet.
Pro's:- Very cool, retro looks. Nice, lightweight feel. Considerably less road / wind noise compared to my old lid (another HJC model). XL fitted perfectly true to size. Cons:- Slight whistle at certain speeds when visor fully up.... But can be eliminated by moving visor down slightly. Also, whilst the chin vent Is effective, the top vent doesn't really do much. Overall, really pleased with the helmet. Big improvement over my previous one.
Nice comfy helmet. Quite light. Looks great.
This helmet is the perfect look for my Harley.
It’s very comfortable when riding with a perfect fit.
It’s nice and lightweight too
Very comfy and great fit! I got it to replace my old bell bullitt and wind noise is considerably better. Also very nice finish, overall great helmet!
Fantastic helmet for the price. Great vintage look, hardly any wind noise coming through . very impressive. Light weight and looks great
Not a bad helmet at all. Comfy and very light, which is what I need, The finish is excellent with a deep metallic flake when the sun hits it. I usually wear NXRs and this is only slightly louder than the Shoei. I purchased it purely to wear on my 80s V-Max, and the retro semi-bandity style suits that perfectly. Black visor is essential of course ;) .
Only negatives are the vents don't channel as much cooling air as some other helmets, and (daft as this may sound) being a slightly thinner strap n rings than on a Shoei, I find it harder to undo once it's tightened up. But that might be coz it's still new, or perhaps just simply an age thing. Get one, it looks wicked.
Excellent service as usual from sports bike shop. Price matched from another website. Great helmet and fits like a glove. Very little wind noise and best helmet I've had.
Firstly, I love the design of this helmet, I mean the shape etc, not just the graphics. I have come from a Ruroc Atlas 4.0 and this is much, much comfier. A hell of a lot quieter as well. Plus, the vents actually work. Although there are no exhaust vents, there is adequate ventilation. I ride a cruiser with a batwing and I get plenty of cooling.
Secondly, the fit. It's excellent but as others have suggested, go a size up. I'm normally a XL but I got a headache after about 10 minutes.
The only issue I have, and it's a small one is the recesses for speakers aren't quite as big as my Cardo speakers so they keep popping out even though I have velcro pads in the holes. This is a tiny fault and I refuse to knock a star off for it.
Overall, a great helmet. If you are considering a Ruroc, please try this first. It turns far more heads as well.
