Genuinely waterproof at a great price.

Does what it states kept me dry in a few downpours and is completely windproof. It is comfortable the sleeves are wide enough to get gauntlet gloves underneath thankfully and the sizing was spot on I ordered a large as a just under 42" chest and the fit is spot on Oxford have definitely stepped up the fit and cut of their clothing since their old day's . Time will tell how it holds up but so far I'm impressed with the build quality just a shame it's only A safety rated but for the functionality it's a worthy tradeof too me personally you will need to buy the Oxford back protector to go with it slightly annoying manufacturers aren't selling clothing with full armour anymore WHY? but it's not just them so can't grumble that much I suppose. Only real negative is it gets sweaty fast in anything above 15 Celsius so I use a base layer for easy on and off.

Perfect for all conditions

I recently took this on a 1,000 mile week long tour in the rain, and it never let water through! I was able to sustain 15-22 degree weather in just a t-shirt, and down to 12 degrees with a jumper underneath, spanning pouring rain to sunshine through towns and motorways. Unlike any other jacket I have owned.
The front vents are excellent and can be adjusted whilst driving without much difficulty. I left the back vent open nearly all the time and no water made it under the jacket. the elbow vents had a small effect, but only when the cuffs were open and traveling at speed, however they were difficult to close whilst riding.
The neck closure worked great whilst riding, but it was not possible to use the loop for keeping the collar open when riding. I just got in the habit of setting it open if I thought the weather would be hot, then closing it when conditions changed.
The pockets were great, nice and spacious and stayed waterproof nicely.

1st new item of clothing since returning to motorcycling last year. Have used this jacket for a few months now through the heat and getting caught in more than a rain shower. Opening the various vents provides a good degree of airflow into/through the jacket allowing it to be used on the hottest of days with the insert removed. as it gets colder just do up the zips to maintain warmth. Getting caught in a deluge was no problem as the jacket kept me totally dry. A very good all rounder. Can't find any negatives.

Have yet to ride in a serious downpour.

Oxford strikes again with this stylish jacket

I like the look of the Oxford jacket. I like the colour and it has level two armour. You can also purchase Oxford back protector which is a very important piece of kit. The jacket has multiple vents at the back the front and the arms plenty of pockets everything you need as hand.

Great jacket- light and great fit
21 May 2025 by Jacob
Only jacket I could find that is comfortable on my arms. I am not swarznegger but not slight and most jackets construct at the elbow.
Waterproof and venting is good unless it’s really hot in which case get a mesh jacket. Price is very competitive

Laminate a game changer.
13 Apr 2025 by Christopher W
First thing I love about this jacket is the laminate waterproofing. Unlike my Alpinestar Andres3 jacket , which does keep you dry you don't get the water soaking through and holding in the jacket making it a ton weight and taking ages to dry . With the Oxford it just runs off the outside with no soakage. Excellent when using the jacket every day in all weathers.
This is my second one as I had a tumble in the first and the grading of A is definitely correct, a shame it's not a bit tougher. A low speed spill put holes in the elbows of my first one but the armour did it's job with only light bruising.
The fit is spot on . I'm medium, bought medium and perfect fit.
In the cold as in 0° and less it wouldn't be as warm as the Alpinestar but overall for the price I paid ,€240, I'm very happy with the jacket.

All the aspects of a jacket you need without the fuss. Looked at more expensive versions of similar spec and actively choose this jacket in this colourway.

Nice but rubbish size
03 Sep 2024 by Mike W
This seems a well made jacket, and I can see what the reviews say about the improvements over its predecessor, having tried both on.
Unfortunately never got to try it out on the bike due to issues with sizing. 5xl was absolutely huge, even with all the adjustments pulled in. Swapped for 4xl and that was a very snug fit with all adjustments let out. Tried sitting on the bike but could hardly move!
Sbs there usual fantastic self. Unfortunately the issue with no free returns from the Highlands makes it a pain.

Tried a few jackets, all had good features but this was the best all round. Also the deal was less than I expected to pay for jacket and trousers too.

Excellent fit
12 Jul 2024 by Steve D
I visited the Preston store to try on a few riding jackets after being off the bike for 12 years.
I went in completely open minded with no real idea what I was going to leave with.
I needed somthing that would cover a lot of weather situations. Also being comfortable, looking good and not breaking the bank.
I'm glad I tried lots on as they all feel different when wearing them.
I wore the jacket for the first time on my CBT yesterday between 9am and 3pm.
It was approximately 15°C and I was very comfortable with the thermal lining removed and only a t-shirt underneath.
The adjustment straps are a bit finicky to use with the jacket on but once set feel good.
The armour feels unrestrictive
I had to buy the back protection separately as Oxford don't supply it as standard?!!
The double storm flap inspires confidence should the weather turn but I've only used in dry weather so far.
Looking forward to seeing what this jacket can do.

Brilliant Value
05 Jul 2024 by Martin W
Had the jacket since 2021, and has been used in all weather's in NE Scotland where I live all year round, about 15000 miles per year. Actually, this is my 3rd. The sleeve zips failed on the first 2 at 18 months-2 years but SBS replaced under Oxford's 2-year warranty. Happily the new version has velcro, so shouldn't have this issue.
It's very warm for its weight, and totally waterproof. It's never leaked despite riding through many torrential downpours. It's comfortable and easy to put on. The vents work so it's cool enough without the liner on both of our warm days!
For extremely cold weather, I bought another one, a size up so I can get a down jacket underneath and that set up keeps me warm for long days at below 5°c.

Not been able to use much but it is comfortable and good quality.
I would like to have more pockets but it is probably a good thing there
aren't too many as it stop me carry load of junk around.
