RST Pro Series Adventure-X CE Textile Jacket - Grey Camo

This is a lovely Jacket , I replaced one that I've had for years but unfortunately had an off and destroyed the back of it sliding down the road .
It saved me as it was designed to do , jacket destroyed but not a mark on me and the armour did it's job admirably. So bought another and this one fits exactly, as the size ordered was bang on, plenty of pockets and vents to unzip for cooling when it's warm .

Absolutely fantastic jacket seen this in several places priced for a lot more would highly recommend Sportsbikeshop snap as it’s pro series it has 3 years warranty so you can’t go wrong 5*

This has been a great product. My only criticism is the waterproof liner is attached to the quilted liner making it too hot to wear on wet summer days.

Multiple vents to keep you cool, plenty of adjustment on body and arms, rear pocket is detachable, and can be used as bag, one piece waterproof, thermal liner ,which can be removed and worn on its own ,even if removal and fitting is a bit of a faff. Well made and durable, I use a Scott waterproof over the top, to stop fabric wetting out ,as it takes a long time to dry, although you do not get wet without it. Recommended

Great size options for the larger man. Seems to be heavy material. Lots of vents for hot days.

Comfortable with removable very warm inner lining, feels very comfortable and have used extensively and can say this is a great purchase.

Purchased this for a tour in the Canary Islands to add more ventilation options!

Loved the fact that the pannels on the chest tuck and zip away neatly, and there is a holder built in for your water/camel bladder in the back with a pass through for the pipe.

The lining makes it work through the winter, and folds up into the removable map pocket.

Very good fit, does not restrict movement - would reccomend.

Dislike - without long sleeved top underneath, rubs your elbows

I bought this item on the spur of the moment when getting new boots, RST have a great reputation and this was listed with a Ride great buy recommendation.
It did say waterproof and breathable.
THE JACKET IS NOT WATERPROOF even a small shower had me wet. The zips are not waterproof.
Lots of vents for cooling in the hot weather.
The thermal liner is listed as waterproof to 15,000mm/cm2 .
Nice looking comfortable jacket and if you want waterproof you have to wear the thermal liner.

I needed to purchase a new jacket for some upcoming trips this year to Europe. I did a lot of research and looked at something that allows a lot of air flow, as I will mainly be using it during the summer months. I decided on buying the RST Pro Series Adventure-X CE jacket. I ordered two sizes in the jacket to try on and found that my real size was correct, a size medium. The staff at the shop in Birmingham were a great help and nothing was too much trouble.
I am very happy with the build quality of the jacket and love how much air flow you can get by opening the jackets chest vents, zips on both inner sleeves and the two exhaust vents on the rear. This kept me nice and cool. One thing to note is, as the jacket has two large air flow vents on the upper front, there are no pockets in this area, just the two pockets at the bottom of the jacket. These do not have a side opening to slide your hands in as you would normally expect but a fold down top with two press studs. The jacket comes with a thermal waterproof liner which I haven’t used yet. As always amazing service from SBS. Although I have not yet tried the jacket in the rain, I am very happy so far and would recommend it.

The shoulder pads dig in and aren’t aligned to the shoulders. The elbow/forearm pads move down the arm to almost the wrist and can’t be “secured” in the correct spot. The lining moves all over the place. The supposedly waterproof inner jacket quite simple isn’t ! One ride in a heavy ish shower saw me soaked to the skin.
Sizing is quite accurate and out shell build seems pretty good just a shame about the insides. This jacket is not a patch on my other textile jacket from a certain other Dutch brand.

Suffice to say I won’t be buying from this brand again. SBS brilliant, RST not so much.
