Customer Reviews for Rukka Outlast Shirt
Great for summer
Only worn once on a warm summer day (30 June 2019 for reference) under a vented jacket. Kept me nice and dry and cool, looks good off the bike too. Material feels high quality and it's nicely finished with no itchy or scratchy seams. Very subtle branding which is important for me. All in all, great product. Wish they did more colours.Read more
When is the next sale.....
....so I can buy another! After years of wearing cotton t shirts I thought I'd get this for a Spanish trip. Can't quite get my head around how a long sleeve top can be cooler than wearing a t shirt but it worked. Easy to remove your outer jacket too as it doesn't stick to sweaty arms. I washed this every night and it was dry for the next morning. I'm going to buy another one of these on the next discount day.Read more
I love it. Perfect in cold or warm weather. Best base layer I've tried.Read more
Very clever stuff, kept me warm on the cold misty morning, but as the sun broke though and temperatures increased kept me cool. Comfy after an 8 hour ride.Read more
A versatile choice
Perhaps not the as warm as the merino wool, but very versatile. Stop off at a services for a cuppa to get your fingers warm again and it will store up the heat to feed back to you when you get on your way. Same when you slow down for a town and then head off out again on the open road.Read more
Warm and toasty!
An essential bit of kit for those cold, crisp ride outs. Quality and fit are excellent.Read more
Adaptive heat control
I wore this under a thin, down filled inner jacket, then my normal winter jacket. This setup normally keeps me toasty but overheats really quickly in traffic. The outlast shirt made a really noticeable improvement by stopping the overheating when stationary. To wear it feels like a fitness compression top (nowhere to hide!) but is comfortable and works best in tight contact with your skin.Read more
Impressive base layer
I had heard riders say how good this Rukka base layer was so had to buy one. It is fantastic, keeps me warm and cool at the same time, this is witchcraft! It's typical of Rukka, superbly well made,I have a 46"chest,XL,is a perfect fit for me,it's so comfortable to wear and unlike some base layers I have tried, there are no seams that rub on a long journey. Go buy one. As expected, great service from SBS.Very happy customer, thanks.Read more
Very effective base layer
The best of my base layers, and the one that actually regulates body temperature. The effect is subtle but noticeable. If you commute from cooler countryside into warmer city, and back again, as I do, you will really appreciate it. I have a 41 inch chest and the large size fits just right. A brilliant bit of kit.Read more
Very nice, comfortable, warm
Snug fit, I went for Medium initially but exchanged for Large (I am 41 Chest) so the size is a little on the small size IMO. Feels really nice on, snug around chest and upper body but just right on arms. Worn it a few times Aug/Sept on its own with Jacket and was perfect while riding. Ill definitely buy another as a spare.Read more
Rukka Outlast Shirt
- Outlast temperature regulation construction
- Keeps you cool when hot
- Keeps you hot when cool
Outlast Temperature Regulation stores and releases body heat. It works to keep the wearer's temperature not too hot... not too cold... but just right, over a broad range of environments and activity levels. When your activity level or the outside temperature increase, the Outlast thermocules that contain the phase change paraffin begin to change from a solid to a liquid which provides you with a comfortable sensation of thermal equilibrium. The energy required to activate this process comes from your warm body or the rising ambient temperature. When you begin to cool down, Outlast thermocules begin to change back from a liquid to solid. In this phase change, the energy that was absorbed by the thermocules while you were active is returned to you.
