Lovely boot

First pair of motorbike boots. I’m a 4.5 in adidas trainers but read the reviews about going up a size and the 5 was out of stock so ordered the 5.5 and they fit well. The first time I wore them was for my CBT I wore them solidly for 9 hours and they were so comfortable and look good and great ankle protection. Highly recommend

First ride after getting them out the box and the shifter peg leaves a nice big shiny mark on the top of the left shoe and wherever the shoe brushes the bike during breaking or putting feet on floor, it creates a really ugly shiny patch on the inner side of the shoe. Within 1 day of owning the shoe, the shoe looks very well worn. Being the material they are, they scratch extremely easily but it looks more of a gouge

The last few lace eyelets at the ankle are difficult to get correct tension. Would be better if they were hooks. But I learn to get on with them and feel reasonably safe.

I must have tried on at least 10 pairs of riding shoes whilst at the Southampton store. These were the first pair I tried and I kept comparing all the others to these. For me, these are just right.

Great quality riding trainers and they look great off the bike too. Made the mistake of not sizing up as suggested by a few customers. I’m normally a size 8 and half a size up was perfect and very comfortable straight out the box.
A small scuff has developed from the gear shifter, only time will tell if it becomes a problem.

The Alpinestars J-6 Waterproof shoe (Cat 2 CE certified to 89/686.ECC EU Directive) boasts a lightweight, street-styled upper combining full grain leather and suede for optimised comfort, durability and look. Waterproofing is afforded by a waterproof membrane subtly built into the chassis for 100 per cent performance against wet penetration. The top tongue and collar are constructed from leather for enhanced comfort, durability and luxurious feel. Metal eyelet lacing closure on instep for an easy, secure and comfortable fit. For all-around strategic protection and flexibility in key areas, dual density ergonomic MX-derived ankle and heel protectors are applied between the upper and padded lining while padding on tongue and heel area provides high levels of comfort and fit around the ankle and instep. Moulded to the upper is an advanced rubber compound cupsole is for stability, grip, support and durability. A reinforced midsole is inserted between the upper and the sole for structural strength and durability. The removable and replaceable and anatomically profiled EVA and Lycra footbed is for added comfort and support.
Metal logo detailing logos and patterning give the boot a contemporary styling feel. Finally, the internal toe box and heel counter reinforcement are layered under the upper for more ergonomic design.
