Sidi Adventure 2 Gore-Tex Boots - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Nice boot! Feel and look is excellent. I wanted safer boot for longer journeys and you definitely get that with this boot. Very comfy just take a bit of time to brake in. You do need to go a size bigger. I'm 10 and I got a 10.5. We're just fine if I didn't wear socks! Needed to send them back and get an 11. As always with sportsbikeshop there was no hassle.
As good as they say
I ve not had them long hence the 4 star rating. After reading all the reviews I decided to go with these as against alpine stars and glad I did. Proper solid boot with loads of protection and gortex. Looks like I've been lucky and got a non-squeaky set so happy days. No issues with size as some have said I am an 8 and that's what I got. Roll on Vietnam when I'll put them through the test
Awesome boots, plenty warm enough, waterproof, done several hundred miles in the wet, zero water on my socks, they look great, feel great after a few rides out as they mould to my movements, I have a triumph tiger 800, the boots suit very well, I can whole heartedly recommend these boots.
Worth the extra for all year riding
Im a 365 biker so wanted to get something that ticks all the boxes waterproof, warm, protective and durable so this is my first adventure style boot. The soles are fairly chunky and take a little getting used to for gear changes and braking. Also the armour and stiffness of the boot make walking in them a little awkward at first but this has eased off now and they are very comfortable. As mentioned in other posts there is a lot of squeeking when walking regardless of wet or dry. I tested the water proofing in the bath, bone dry, the goretex liner comes right to the top of the boot. I usually wear jeans and over trousers but the calf's are a snug fit so need to leave the over trousers over the boot rather than tucked in. After using the clasp buckle system I think I will stay away from zips forever now, clasps are far superior. I think a 3rd adjustable buckle may have been better than velcro as some of the velco becomes exposed and may wear with the elements over time but i dont think its a big problem. Finally the build quality, stitching, seems etc look great, I think this boot should last a long time and is worth the extra expense. 4 stars because of the queeking, otherwise I can't fault them.
I'm in love with these boots. So many people have written so much about them... I can only join the choir. Very nice feel on your feet. Brilliant job from Sidi. Oh, size doesn't really matter (as SportsBikeShop is fantastic with return/exchange), but I managed to get it perfect on first try. And even was lucky(?) enough to not get the "Sidi-squeak"! ;-))) Totally worth it.
Dry comfortable and well made adventure boots
Worn these boots a couple of times now and am very happy with their performance and feel. I'm enjoying ending the day with dry comfortable feet! I find the support and protection perfectly adequate for my use, green laning and Enduro practice days. Wouldn't go back to anything else.
I found this boots to be quite comfortable in spite of their size. First I was afraid that I'll be clumsy in them but once I've put them on I completely forgot that I was not wearing my summer and much shorter shoes. The degree of protection is exceptional. I have not wore them in the summer so they might still be a little to warm for that, but autumn, winter, spring - perfect.
I opted for these boots because I have moved to a hot and humid country but will also be traveling through colder climates at some stage, and, of course, rain. So far, I have only used the boots in the heat and humidity (35°C on average) and they have exceeded my expectations. These are tall boots and when wearing them it's simply not possible to keep your feet as cool as if you were riding with a pair flip-flops, or your school shoes, however, if you value your ankles you'll be willing to put up with warm feet in exchange for excellent ankle protection, which brings me to my next point, the Gore-Tex; I know that my feet are sweating but when I remove my boots after a ride, my feet are dry, as are the lower part of my socks. My socks are, however, wet above the ankle which is where my riding trousers (which don't breath very well) slide over the boot. And, incidentally, because of the aforementioned heat and humidity, my entire body is sweaty at that point. This is my first pair of Sidi boots and Sidi have earned my loyalty, but, given the build quality of these, I probably won't need another pair for the next ten years. If you ride an adventure bike and need a good pair of boots that will handle multiple conditions, and want the best protection available without resorting to full length motocross boots, then I thoroughly recommend a pair of these.
Comfortable from day 1. Totally waterproof. As others say, buy the next size up as the Italians are renowned for small sizing. Just completed a 1500 mile trip in a week and had no issues other than hot feet at 27C. If only Sidi could sort the squeak out!!!
Shutting the door ...
... after the horse has bolted. Having sustained a rotational fracture in January, I realised (too late !) that my cherished TCX boots were in fact in very poor order and offered no protection from feet being rotated. So - I needed something new that would offer a much higher level of protection for my (now plated and screwed) leg AND would be far more robust. These Sidi boots offer exactly that. They are excellently constructed and nice and firm / strong around the ankle as well as supportive all the way up the shin. I'm impressed with the solidity of the boot overall, and the easy (and customisable) entry system. Note that they are narrow boots so if you have wider feet (like me) you may / will have to go up a size compared to your shoe size (e.g. I am a 42 shoe but the 42 boot was too tight so I took a 43, which are perfect).
Great buy!!! Very good quality boots with a quick free delivery. Boots are exactly as described and pictured on this website. I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm already thinking of buying other things for my motorcycle from here. Definitely would recommend it!
MX or not MX, that is the question
The choice was full scale MX boots or something a little more versatile. I went for these, a boot with good ankle and lower leg protection but also waterproof and practical enough to wear on long journeys. They are great looking, well made and comfortable, pretty easy to get on and off too. Good service from Sportsbikeshop as usual. Sadly for them though, if my last pair of Sidis is anything to go by, it'll be quite a while before I'll be buying any new boots!
