Richa Typhoon Rain Overall - Fluo Yellow
Customer Product Reviews
Richa Typhoon suit
Suit arrived very quickly. Suit fits well although have to take boots off , so not so good if out in the rain. Quality is good. The internal bag seems a little small as the suit is quite bulky and the waist strap is only just big enough. Overall a nice quality suit. As usual great service from Sportbike shop..
Great Quality Suit
Really recommend this suit, keeps you nice and dry and adds another layer to keep you warm too. It's easy to get on and off and makes you visible too. Only bad points are there are no pockets apart from the big one that the suit folds into. Folding the suit into this pocket is impossible, it won't pack down enough to fit!
Excellent service. Excellent product.
Sportsbikeshop went above and beyond to get this to us before a trip to France. Thank you. The product - 200miles in rain (50 of which was torrential) and bone dry. Think that says it all. Packs into a pocket like a cagoule would-folds in on itself with a belt so could be worn as a sort of bum bag. Unpack. Ckeck leg zips are open and step in. Pull up to chest. Arms go in like 1 piece leathers. Zip legs down and velcro tight to boots. Zip up the front and close the storm flap. Double check that storm flap and off you go. The product is a ride best buy for a reason!! Would recommend that you size it as per your leathers. Thanks again to the team
Essential Piece of Kit For All Riders!
If you use your bike for as much as the year as you possibly can like me, then this rain suit is a must! It keeps you warm, dry and comfortable in bad conditions! Would recommend buying in the same size as your jacket) Wish I had bought mine years ago! Incredible service from SBS as per usual.
Kept me dry when rest were soaked
Recent trip to Skye, others soaked literally to skin, I was dry. I'm a size 8/10 & the Xs was plenty big enough over my normal gear. I was so impressed I've bought same (different sizes) for my husband, son & his fiancée.
I needed to remove my boots to get it on, larger zips and expanding legs would be better it did let some water in around the waste, and the sizes are on the small side, I'm 6'2 and the 2xl just went over all my other kit. Its a bit of a wrestle to get it into it's carry bag.
Typhoon weather in Scotland
Went to thunder in the Glen weather was constantly pouring down on the trip up there but the richa typhoon rain suit was more than up for it brilliant didn't get wet once did what it says keeps the wet out and keeps you warm best buy for bike yet
Thin but completely waterproof!
Very thin, so the wind can cut through it and chill you quite a lot if your under layers are thin. Very waterproof - both ways, so if it's sunny you will be in a sweat bag, but if its pouring down you will be bone dry. I would very much prefer it if there was a pocket or two for quick access to money/phone etc.you can use the large bag/pocket for storage but its not quick and easy. Overall a perfect item for wet weather, a good pair of tall boots is essential with this. Highly recommend
I had to get the larger XXL at 6'2 14 stone. The XL fitted everywhere but leg length, where it came to the top of my boots while on the bike. It keeps showers off well, but don't expect it to keep out heavy rain for long. Had a 5 hour journey, mostly in rain, and some heavy rain. I was wet at the groin first after about 2-3 hours. As with everything, I've not yet experienced "waterproof" other than scuba diving gear.
Great Suit and Excellent Value
Does what it says on the tin pretty much. Heavyweight suit and very warm / windproof. Only downside is that it is not breathable so on a wet warm day you quickly heat up and sweat depending on what else you have on. I road in heavy rain all day on a trip and the crouch of my textile trousers were damp - not sure if it was a bit of rain getting in or me sweating causing the problem. I went a size up to Large - it was pretty roomy. I think i may have been ok with a true to size medium but ultimately if the suit is too tight it will be a job to get it on at a time when you want a quick stop.
Perfect wet weather suit
Well made and completely waterproof. It is not easy to get it on over bulky gear but the long zips and overall size do help. It is quite bulky to carry round even when it is packed away into the pocket provided, and getting it into this can be a struggle. However, it is a useful bit of kit to carry when the weather is mixed, especially on a long trip.
Rain overall possibly made by ronseal??
I bought the large, I'm 5'9 and the length is really good on me. The stretchy waste is just that thankfully as I'm also 15 stone plus. I could where it without my jacket under easily enough but it does happily, thanks to the elastic, go over my big old fabric jacket. For the money this is an absolute bargain that I would reccomend. Oh yes it does also indeed keep you dry, I write this having just driven 50miles through what felt like a typhoon and I'm dry as a whistle.
The first time I wore this was on my way to a track day. 150 miles in downpour and not a drop got through. At 6'4" the 3XL fits the best over my RST one piece leathers and with the neck to waist zip it's an easy job to get in and out of (even with size 14 boots on) which is an important detail when you get caught out on the road! One of the best details however is how small it packs up! this easily fits in my 5 litre Qbag tail pack 6 with room to spare for wallet, keys, phone and any other essentials. Overall a top buy.
For the price, excellent. Takes a few minutes to get into but its effective and far better than being wet all day at work. I'm 5'11 and a 34 inch waist and L fits me perfectly ( over my normal riding gear). The elastic around the midriff means its not too flappy.. It doesn't look full "boil in the bag". No pockets except for the massive front one you fold it into. Small hassle if like me you dont want to whack your phone and housekeys into the same one, get them packed away before the oversuit goes on.
