Richa Typhoon Rain Overall - Fluo Yellow
Customer Product Reviews
After using this product in torrential rain I can vouch for the fact that it is waterproof. It is easy to get into the suit even whilst wearing boots due to the long zip on the body and adjustable areas around wrists and ankles. A good quality product the only negative being that due to the thickness of the material it is still a sizeable package when packed away into the integral pocket.
Good suit, but.......
I'm 6'1" tall and 13 stone, and the XL suit was a perfect fit with my textile jacket and jeans on, complete with armour. Almost, all round it was a good buy. BUT BEWARE. The stuff bag/bum bag that it comes with has incredibly poor stitching. Where the webbing goes into the bag it's only caught by one row of stitching and WILL after a short time let go. Twice now, when wearing around my waist, mine has 'let go' and gone bouncing down the road behind me, bloody dangerous!!! I've tried two suits now but sadly now going to try a different brand. Sports Bike Shop incredibly helpful with this issue. Well done all. ????
It may work but its too restrictive
It may be because I bought the same size as my jacket but if this is supposed to go over your regular biking clothes, beware, get a size up. I struggle to get this over my gear and as such have been deterred from using it. I think the build quality is good and it will keep you dry, for certain.
Great bit of kit but !!
Great bit of kit for the bag and wet cold days. Size is perfect but it did look massive when I opened it up. Great material feel and as I said feels perfect over my normal riding gear. Is pretty thick for a waterproof. I haven't tested it yet but am 100% sure it will keep me warm and dry. Only negative is that it does NOT pack away in its bag easy. I got it in its tiny bag but it was a massive struggle. Be aware if you are looking for something light weight and portable this might not be for you. It goes in my backpack but only just. All round though great product. I look forward to testing it.
Good product for piece of mind
I bought this all in one waterproof to keep in my tail pack whilst out on trips. I bought the same size as my jacket and although it's a wee bit of an effort to get on, it doesn't flap around when I'm on the bike. Only wore it once so far in mild rain and it worked well. I ride an SV650 so no fairing protection at all and even with lace up boots, I arrived at my destination dry. I take on board other people's comments that the pack size isn't overly small, but it's a nice weight of fabric that feels good and solid, especially zips and seams. I'd be worried that a lighter material would rip in the wind flow or when I was putting it on or taking it off.
Bit difficult to get on with jacket and liners on. Had to take the liner out if my jacket but was perfectly warm enough. Keeps you dry in the wind and rain. Bit difficult to put on at the side of the road with all your kit on. I'm considering cutting the inner bib/flap and putting a velcro strip on it which would give extra room to get my arms in.. not as flexible as I once was...
Ok certainly keeps rain out
It is warm but your body can not breath in this type of kit. I put it over my alpinestars textiles drystar to keep really bad weather out. Means my main kit is dryer and lighter but your body will sweat, so you do feel damp still.
This is an excellent product to keep you dry in the rain. Used it on a recent trip and kept 100% dry. If you're looking to travel light this is probably not the product as it doesn't roll up very compact. The only other downside is when tramping on, it feels like a parachute has been deployed behind, which is a bit off putting and tiring on the arms after a while.
Good but not practical
Good product, well made, keeps water out but there are no pockets outside for keys or phone or whatever. I deliver stuff on a bike and I need practicality. Also, the leg length is a bit short. All in all, it's good stuff but does not fit or suit me.
