Richa Typhoon Rain Overall - Fluo Yellow
Customer Product Reviews
Best waterproof all in one I've ever bought, great value for money. Take your time in fastening the zip and velcro and you will be completely warm and dry. I've been riding for 30 years and have never found a thoroughly waterproof garment for my bike for this price, until now. It would probably be a little too warm for summer is the only thing I would say is negative. Excellent product.
Amazing rain suit
I bought this as a replacement for my two piece rain suit. I couldn't be more satisfied. For the price, it offers great quality. I used it on a recent trip up to Cumbria and the Lake District and it served it's purpose perfectly! The fit is good, relatively easy to pack into the bag.
Great all weather suit
The first suit did the Venezuela to Ushuaia trip. 18 months down the Andes and in all weathers. Second last summer France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland through to mid winter. So the third will do me for the next adventure. Reproof a few times and wax cleaner to remove road dirt but never got wet.
Haven't used yet but all checked and looks like it'll do the job. Very tight fit into its inner bag and hard to zip up so if in a hurry I would expect the zip to fail at some point. Makes a very hard package but if bag was bigger would be easier to fit in my back pack. Gave it a 4 as good price and warranty should I have any issues over the winter.
Does what it says on the tin
Purchased as the wet weather is getting wetter! The fit is really snug, can be a tad awkward to get on but when its on it fits really well. So far, in the passed 600 miles of riding, (300 per week) I've only had about half that in the rain, and so far it has been 100% waterproof. It also adds a bit of wind protection, and doesn't flap around on windy days due to its fit. Overall, I can only fault getting it on, other than that its a great bit of kit!
Cheap but not too nasty
Only worn once in rain so far and leaked at the bottom of the zip. Easy to put on, other than the cuffs, which are tight and rely on elastic and a velcro flap. Could do with a zip and gusset like the ankles to make getting it on over jacket and gloves easier.
Fantastic rain suit
I was fed up of getting caught out in summer showers my leathers, would thought I'd invest in a rainsuit to keep in my bag. Although quite big when stuffed in the built in bag.... (I'm 6ft 2 90kg and ordered the XXL - perfect fit) the suit is a must have! I was caught out in torrential rain over the weekend and stayed bone dry underneath. Would highly recommend this suit.
Bought these for a forthcoming tour, they are well made and the fit is good. I'm sure they will provide good protection in a down pour. Easy to put on and take off, with elastic wrist areas and boot zips at the ankles. A Velcro flap over the long body zip completes the protection, and reflective strips help with visibility.
Great product and great value
As my bike is my commuting tool and I live in Manchester where the rain never stops, a decent waterproof suit was definitely needed. I ordered a small (I usually wear a 38 chest and 30 waist) and it fits perfectly in these areas over my leathers - no need to take the leathers into account, just order your regular size. It is a bit short in the leg for me as I'm quite tall but very skinny - it stops about halfway down my boots, but I prefer having a suit that's a bit short rather than going up a size as I hate baggy clothing that flaps about on the motorway. It folds up to a reasonably small size (a bit smaller than a folded-up hoodie); my bike has a tiny under-seat compartment so it won't fit in there, but ones with more generous storage should be able to accommodate it. It folds up small enough to fit in the helmet carrier compartment in my bag, so it can go everywhere with me. There is an interior pocket to fold it into; I haven't tried that yet, but it does add a bit of unwelcome bulk in the chest area. Putting it on is a very unflattering process, but I'm led to believe that's the same with all one-piece suits. I'm yet to try it in the rain, but it feels like great quality and I have no doubts it'll perform well; the seams and zips seem like great quality, the material is quite thick and heavy and the lining will be very welcome on long motorway journeys to keep the wind off and provide a bit of extra warmth. Overall a great product at a great price.
It's boss dad thanks
Bought for my son who just bought a scooter to get to work and back. I've seen this and the reflective parts on read the reviews and thought I buy him one. I ordered it then realised I had to change the delivery address cos my mum was going away. Anyway e-mailed the guys at Sportsbikeshop and they did it all for me, thanks. Brilliant service, very quick and efficient even on a Saturday I was impressed the suit came 2 days later and was raining heavy when my son rang made up saying "thanks dad it's boss its proper heavy suit and real easy to put on and kept me dry thanks dad " result. Think I might get him the orange 1 as well for a change cos he buzzing with the green 1.
Seems decent - heavier than other brands
Probably more of a real winter waterproof as a lot thicker than other 1 piece rain suits I've used. Doesn't have any straps to tighten. Folds into inner pocket to create a bum bag - but waist strap isn't the longest and overall size and weight makes it pretty cumbersome. I wouldn't recommend for sport bikers and wished I paid the extra for a more lightweight model. My requirements might be different to others. Quality seems good and kept me dry, but bulky.
