Richa Cold Protect Gore-Tex Gloves - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Great all rounders
Great stylish looking gloves. Got these as an upgrade from my tired old winter gloves. Definitely a good replacement. Been commuting all through December in cold frosty mornings with no issues, so warm I don't bother turning on the heated grips! Excellent waterproofing water just beads off the service. A great choice!
Cold protect gloves
I have used these in 0 degree English weather and haven't felt the cold yet. I haven't experienced rain yet but I'm sure they'll do a great job keeping it out. They're a bit big and combersome at first but you get used to it. Excellent gloves very well made.
Bulky but warm
Put these gloves to the test on the first use, where temperatures were rarely above 5C. After 4 hours my hands were still relatively warm. Haven't had the opportunity to rate their waterproofness but being Gore-Tex , I trust they're up to the task
Excellent - well pleased
Bought these for winter commuting - about 80 miles round trip each day, mainly motorway with about 8 miles other roads. So far they have been superb and in all this wet weather we have had in the North in November 2019. Would recommend.
These are definitely winter gloves, Just that little bit to bulky for all year round. I found the fingers a bit long so makes 2 finger braking around town awkward. That said for the money there worth every penny. Put up against my £200 Rukka's there's not a lot in it.
First Gore-Tex Gloves I've purchased & it poured down on my 12 mile commute. They never let any water in & also I don't need to put my heated grips on until Temp gets below 8 degrees. My old gloves had me switching the heating on at 11 degrees. Great Product that holds up to it's description
Perfect for Winter
I am always unsure when a manufacturer says that this product is waterproof, but as of the time being they are, also they seem to be wind proof , that as you can imagine helps to keep your hands warm and dry, you can not beat them if you have heated grips and hand guards also, -3 is the lowest temp I have worn them in so far and they aork just fine, getting used to the extra thickness of them took some time as you can imagine but now they are the best gloves I have purchased in a long time I recommend them
Well made but not that warm
These are well made gloves, comfortable (although a bit tight when new) and they look like the armour would protect you well in a spill. I found the fit was accurate according to the sizing guide, except for the little fingers which were a bit too long - although that may just be my weird hands. Unfortunately, these are not as warm as the name implies. Riding in temperatures around 10 degrees, I started to get cold fingers after half an hour. I wouldn't want to ride much below that. In summary, great for spring and autumn, but you'll need more in the depths of winter.
Great gloves and excellent value
They're Gore-Tex, they're properly waterproof, and they have flouro colours which match the Richa jacket I have. Got the wrong size initially (had to go one smaller) and Sportsbikeshop put up a lot of resistance at first, but eventually agreed to swap them. My advice, always keep your tags, for some reason they're very keen on you doing that, even though they're simple for the manufacturer to replace.
So far these have been brilliant, a bit stiff and bulky when brand new, they soon became more flexible, and have kept out very chilly morning air and rain to date. I leave at 430-5am so it gets quite cold in Cumbria and the lakes, even in May. Great service, fast delivery.
