LS2's latest flipover lid impresses for practicality, comfort and daily usability across long distances

I’d been searching for the right helmet for my daughter, who wears glasses, and finally settled with the LS2 Kids - Cyberg Purple Cyan. We first tried size M, which fit well without glasses, but it was uncomfortable for her to put the glasses on after wearing the helmet. We then exchanged it for a size L, and it turned out to be perfect. My daughter absolutely loves it—it fits comfortably and works great with her glasses.
The LS2 Dragon is light and it’s relatively comfortable being a tight race fit.
It develops considerable wind noise from under the neck line and behind the ears at speed and seems to suck up flying insects from the underside of the helmet which unfortunately become trapped inside while attempting to escape, this becomes irritating and time consuming having to pull over and release said insects back to the wild!
The helmet is size M and fits well apart from the neck line and subsequent insect ingress.
Earplugs are an absolute, and to be honest should be fully utilised at 34db.
It’s well vented above the visor although the vent slider doesn’t seem to make any difference to the amount of air intake, closing the slider doesn’t stop the air, however, it’s easy to stop the airflow completely by inserting ear plugs into the perfectly sized inlet vents inside the interior.
The lining is good and seems to be holding up well.
Visor and view are excellent and easy to use and overall this helmet performs well at speed.
I have covered around 1000 miles in the Dragon LS2 helmet in dry and generally hot weather.
Decent helmet lots of visibility - airflow is ok.
Only downside is the sunshades mechanism is a bit clunky.
Bought this for my Granddaughter to go on the back of the bike, it fitted well, she loved the look of it and does what it needs to do.
Good helmet for the price, fits well with minimum road noise,
