LS2 Helmets

Great helmet for the price easy to flip up even wearing gloves and really comfortable would definitely recommend the LS2 strobe ll

Helmet on the whole is very good , quality good for a reasonable price . Bought 2 one for the wife & myself came up as normal size . Visor operates nicely as does sun visor but this is not that good in glare .
Overall very good .

I have used Shoei Neotek Helmet's for the last few decades but they are sooooo expensive there must be an alternative ?
My brother sourced and purchased a LS2 Advant X, in black, on inspection and listening to his personal experience and opinion, I figured that, £ for £, it might be a good alternative to my traditional, and expensive, Shoei Neotek.
I went for a white version (I would never choose a black helmet).
Sportsbike shop service was great.
Helmet is a snug & comfortable fit: Love the chin piece that rotates 180° allowing the helmet to be used as Open Face, which I maybe, do more than 50% of usage.
Visor is good but there is noticeable more wind noise than the Shoei, but it is not a problem, the shape of the lower part of the visor seems to be the culprit here.
Big advantage over the Shoei is that the visor will stay where I want it, I have to modify the Shoei to achieve this, not good on such an expensive helmet ?
Optically the LS2 is nearly as good, certainly no problem.
Audibly the LS2 is similar to the Shoei overall, worse on the visor but better around the ears (I don't wear earplugs).
I find the LS2 comfortable and the visor pivot and fitment seem great, a good design.
Unlocking the chin piece is a bit of a faff but I will get used to it.
If you take purchase price into account, I think the LS2 Avant X is a better helmet that the Shoei Neotek range.

Spent 3 hours in the Leeds store and they could not be more helpful I tried several helmets on ranging from £100 to £700 and settled on this helmet as it fitted my head the best. I have tried it without ear plugs and it is quite loud with wind noise but I ride with the Oxford Race ear plugs and with these in I can't hear any wind noise.

I love flip top helmets and the flip over takes away the windsail effect :-)
This helmet feels plush and everything about it is solid and works well. The padding does feel big at first and u get squirrel cheeks, but as others have said, it settles down quickly and moulds to your heads contour so don't change to a size up too quickly!
I couldn't recommend this helmet enough, and as always, fantastic service from Sportsbikeshop.co.uk (price matched me in 4 minutes!)

This is my first ever helmet which I bought 18 months ago. It was a little tight at first but it soon moulded to my head shape and now fits like a glove. Vents are excellent and the included pinlock is a great benefit.
The sun visor isn’t the best but useful to have for the very rare times I’ve used it (I bought a dark visor for summer so don’t need the inbuilt one).
The chin strap was noticeable at first but now it’s not a problem and it doesn’t feel uncomfortable for me.
I can’t really comment on wind noise as this is the only helmet I have.
I’d buy again although I’d perhaps go carbon and choose a better colour scheme than the grey all over.
