LS2 Helmets

For a budget helmet it ticks all the boxes, though wind noise could be an issue if you don't wear ear protection, not the most comfortable helmet but then again it is a budget helmet

Good fit, light, good options. Great all around will do what I want when I want. close face, bad weather (speed). Open face sunny day (town speed). Perfect 1 dies it all. Feels quieter too, but not done motorways.

Bought this helmet for my son who is into karting. It's also fully UK motorbike legal to the latest EU/UK ECE 22.06 standard which was important to us. He loves the design. The main visor is clear, but there's a handy second tinted visor built within the helmet that can be flipped up or down independently. He loves that feature, using the clever slider on the base of the helmet to do it even whilst wearing gloves. He also wears glasses, and even with both visors down it's still fine, i.e. main visor, second tinted visor and glasses all at the same time. We measured his head prior to purchase to find he's a Medium, bought the M size and it fits perfectly. Delivery was super quick too. I definitely recommend buying from SportsBikeShop. Very satisfied customer.

This is a really nice helmet - the MIPS esque liner is nice and feels comfortable, and the drop down visor is a nice touch. However, I prefer the LS2 Storm II, which was on offer at the time, but is usually about £25 more expensive. On the Storm, the lining is nicer and feels less abrasive on the skin, the helmet feels more premium, there is a metal QRS latch, and a Pinlock is included. For me, it's a no brainer to go for the Storm. Fit seems to be the same between the two models.

I really liked this helmet but need to add a word of caution. I tried it on around the house and was sure it was a good fit.
Unfortunately I didn’t spend much time with the chin section in the closed position. When I used it for a ride I found that the helmet was too tight around my jaw. It’s almost as if the helmet is pinched by the hinge action, something my Schubert doesn’t do. I ended up having to sell it second hand because I obviously couldn’t return it once I discovered the problem.
