Overall this Bluetooth headset is great for the LS2 Valiant. I had issues with connectivity after about 6/7 months of using everyday but Sportsbikeshop were excellent in the one for one on this product with free return. 2nd one arrived but there was a problem with the hook and loop (velcro). Again Sportsbikeshop jumped into action and again free return and dispatched another. This one is fine and works great as expected. Easy to fit and use.Read more
LS2 strobe helmet
Great helmet perfect fit and good quality, its very well made and good value for money, includes sun visor which flips down. The chin fastener is easy to operate, some makes are awful. It fits fine with my glasses as well. Delivery was great top marks all round.Read more
Excellent for the money
I had been to a few places to try on some helmets in a quest to get something that was actually comfortable. All the ones that I was able to try were tight on my forehead, probably because I have an oval-shaped head.On-line research then indicated that the LS2 Strobe may be a good fit, so I ordered one, a size larger than my 'normal' size, based on what I had read on these reviews. The service from Sportsbikeshop was even better than what I had read about here. Ordered at around 18:20, and delivered before 11:00 the next morning. Well packed too. The helmet is a good fit (for me). None of that tightness across the forehead. It is a tad on the tight side, but that's a good thing as the liners always give a bit with wear. My only slight concern is that the chin strap is a bit on the tight (short) side, and even at the longest adjustment, it is only just long enough to be comfortable and my neck won't be growing larger at my time of life. That said, I have done several longish rides with the LS2, and I hardly noticed that I had it on. It's not heavy for a flip-front helmet, and sits very comfortably on my head. It is closer fitting than my previous helmet (a Black Optimus) making it warmer on a warm day, but I would rather be safe than cooler. To be honest, the Optimus was a bit large for me after the liners wore in. Noise-wise, there is not much difference to the Optimus. Flip-front helmets are generally noisier, and the LS2 is no exception. One difference with the Optimus is that air from the front vent is cleverly channelled so that it flows up and over the visor. The down side of that is that it produces a higher frequency hiss when the vent is open. It's not too bad and as I always wear ear plugs. it won't worry me. The ventilation appears to work well but I have added a Pinlock insert. I have not yet been out in conditions that test a helmet for demisting. Perhaps the biggest plus is something that I had not seen mentioned about the Strobe is that the visor 'locks' into a position where it is just open enough to get some fresh air without being too far open. The Optimus was either half open with the edge of the visor right in my line of sight, or fully open. The Strobe's three positions are infinitely better. I find that I can operate the vents without difficulty with my gloves on I have read reviews where the reviewer said that they didn't feel that it was easy to get glasses on with the LS2. I find that despite the much tighter fitting of the cheek pads, I can easily slide the arms of my sunglasses into position. I actually bent the arms of those glasses trying to put them on with the Optimus that is much looser fitting, so well done LS2 on that feature. All in all, I am very satisfied with the Strobe, and would have been if I had paid the 72 pounds that it was offered for while I was considering buying one. At the 54 pounds that I paid, the Strobe is an absolute bargain, and providing that it fits you, you won't find a better helmet at the price. I was prepared to pay much more for a helmet that I liked, and I don't consider that I have had to accept 'second-best' with the Strobe. If I remember, I will return to write a review after say six months of usage. I guess that we all want to know how something like a helmet lasts the test of time and usage.Read more
