Macna Clothing

Sizing is spot on for myself (medium 32" waist), good airflow and cool when temperature is 32 and below. Over this then it gets sweaty but the air temp in France was 41!!. Used backpack feature when visiting museums on my touring holiday, works well.

With the waterproof and thermal liners in I was comfortable riding in late teens sunny weather. Worn without those liners in the low 20’s this summer and it was probably at its limit. Let’s a surprising amount of air in with the chest flap lowered. A short 20min ride and I was starting to feel a tad sweaty in parts. I don’t doubt this will do well through the winter also. It’s quality, looks good and is wearable most of the year.

So having searched everywhere and not able to get womens specific Macna heated gloves in my size (I already had the batteries) I went for these in an XS (I would say I'm a women's size 7-8 glove?) I've waited to return from our Ireland bike tour to review. Yes they're bulky, as expected, they're winter gloves! with added heated element, but fit great. I only needed the heat function on our return home - cold chill was kept away without, and then only on the lowest function was needed. It also rained a lot on our return and my hands kept warm and dry. Happy days.

I strongly recommend them if you have a cold finger issue, they are amazing even when I don’t turn on the heat

My Macna Tryton has been a solid all rounder. The build quality feels tough, the fit is comfortable on long rides, and the big ventilation panels make a real difference when the weather warms up. With the thermal liner and waterproof layer in or out, it adapts easily through the seasons. It s practical, well thought out, and the off centre zip gives it a bit of character without getting in the way.

First off - they do work. However as a glove are not that great - quite bulky and if your fingers are slightly damp you can’t get them on. You need the upgrade to the 12v battery- the 7v are really man enough and even the 12v ones (different charger!) don’t last very long. It all works out quite expensive. I gave up and bought heated kit - plugged into the bike- I bought safe-n- warm inner gloves- much better.
