Held Mistral II Waterproof Jacket - Black / Fluorescent Yellow

Whilst I've not worn it out of the house, it is well made and fits perfectly ie sizes are accurate.

I bought this jacket to replace my ten year Held Mistral II jacket which had began to leak. The first jacket I bought before Christmas was faulty the strap to secure the cuff fell off after a couple of months due to poor workmanship. I noticed that the jacket was extremely flimsy compared to my 10 year old jacket which was supposed to be identical. I then tried various jackets but couldn't find any with a wide enough cuff to go over my gloves, so I ordered two more Mistral II jackets. One was large the other was extra large, on opening them it was evident that the XL jacket was made of material 2-3 times thicker & was far better made than the L jacket. I guess that the XL was probably an older stock item which I am thankful for as it is of an identical quality to my 10 year old jacket it has replaced. I am unsure if I would buy another as the price of these jackets has increased by over 20% & the quality appears to very poor on the newer, thinner jackets.

Excellent product. No rain riding as yet.

Appears to be well made, is a good fit and on the one occasion used so far it was well waterproof - hopefully it will stay that way.
A longer term review would be more helpful.
