I was just about to buy the previous version of this toothless helmet and had been saving up for months, only to find out it was discontinued. I literally made a video on Instagram begging on my knees for HJC to make one with their rpha 12 model (they kinda goaded me into it). Well you bet that as soon as this dropped I bought one and I couldn't be more pleased, haven't worn it on the bike yet but the couple of hours I've had it on my head have been very comfortable, I've got a weird head and my previous brand of choice (Nolan) makes my glasses dig into my head and cause some pretty deep dents, this helmet doesn't do that.
It has cutouts for a cardo but it comes with foam inserts if you don't use one and includes a clear and smoked visor, unfortunately no drop down sunnies which is a shame for a helmet that costs nearly £600!
Not a fan of D-ring buckles as they are a pain if you make the rookie mistake of putting your gloves on before fastening the helmet but I was willing to make this sacrifice purely for the design.
It feels very lightweight so perfect for longer rides but unfortunately I cannot comment on wind noise just yet.

This is my 2nd HJC RPHA 12 helmet. The first one didn't need replacing, still a great helmet after lots of daily riding, but when I saw the new Kepina design, I couldn't resist. Great helmets if your head shape is round.

I struggled to find a helmet that was comfortable and the right size. I tried about 15 different helmets in store across all price ranges (including customised) but none fit as well as this. It is light, slim fitting and provides a wide view.
The visor can be difficult to open on account of its on track suitability and design.

Great helmet really comfortable if a bit noisy but ok with ear plugs the finish is excellent and it’s great that you get a dark visor with pin lock insert in the box. Great venting on the warmer days and the fit for my head is perfect

Okay so I mostly love it for the style, but it's super quiet, very comfy, and was really easy to fit my cardo speakers into. The quick release on the visor works nicely too

I previously had an AGV helmet which was very comfortable. It was time to replace it and I was looking for another AGV, however, when I tried this HJC RPHA 12 I had found my replacement helmet. It is comfortable, has great airflow mechanisms and I am more than happy with the colours as it will be well seen by other road users. I would highly recommend it

I have never owned a HJC helmet before, after reading reviews I chose the RPHA12. I would say it is excellent value and looks great with the dark visor added. Not tested in the rain as yet. Excellent service from SPORTSBIKESHOP as usual.
