Zovii Solid Alarm Disc Lock - ZD10

Build quality seems solid and it has a real weight to it. The alarm is loud and hasn’t triggered accidentally. The paint scuffs quite easily though.

This is the first alarmed disc lock I've owned, and certainly seemed sensitive and loud enough when I first installed it and set it off. Didn't expect it to be so loud inside the garage.

I found installing the battery a bit of a faff, you really have to make sure the rubber gasket is seated perfectly and really force it back in.

No idea how easy it would be to remove, but I assume like all anti theft devices if a thief is coming equipped with the right tools then it will be defeated by simply slices the brake rotor itself etc. But security is about LAYERS.

Handy for when you're out and about. Pretty light compared to my older locks.

But for me, in the garage, combined with other disc locks, huge chain and u-lock / ground anchor and multiple alarms in the garage..... means any thief is going to have to deal with lots of cutting and lots of noise.

Putting the battery in the first time was a bit of a challenge but works great once set up. I use a minder cable going through the lock itself as it doesn't have a slot for one.
