Shark S900 Dual Special Edition - Matt Black

The helmet is the second I have had as first one after daily use all year for four years was still ok, but dropped it a few times and visor and pin lock needed replacing. It does everything as described and chose a quick release strap as I ride in winter so old cold fingers struggle with a d ring strap. Only one thing I would say the helmet is a bit louder than helmets double its price but only at high speed. Apart from that great helmet

Good helmet, nice features whilst not heavy.

It is tight around my cheeks but hopefully this will ease, could have some clarity on the vent switches to indicate open or closed but no big issue.

I like this helmet, it fits well and includes airflow ducts, an under chin draft excluder, drop down sun visor and it is pinlock ready. I removed the nose piece to improve instrument visibility. Unfortunately the sun visor fouls my glasses which are difficult to put on with this helmet.

After years of riding bikes, I have purchased this as a spare, I prefer it over my everyday helmet. It's so comfortable and quiet. Will get another soon!

I bought this helmet for my pillion passenger. It looks much better than anticipated, very good quality. Very similar to my £400 Shoei...
Two downsides: (a) it is acredited to ECE 22.05 standard rather than the newer EXE 22.06., (b) The 5 year warranty cannot be registred with Shark, as the helmet doesn't appear on the registration website.

Really well specced helmet, comfortable, more than anticipated wind noise but no where near requiring ear plugs. Overall very pleased and great VFM.

Right out of the box the weight and feel of the helmet lets you know it's a decent bit of kit. Removing the visor couldent of been easier to fit the pic lock system that came free with the helmet. The only gripe I have is the lack of any instructions included in the box on how to rermove the visor and drop down dark visor that comes fitted to the helmet. A quick visit to the interweb and I fould a couple of good videos on what to do.

Ordered this as sadly my last helmet broke. After reading all the reviews I decided on this helmet. First of all, great service from sportsbikeshop as always. The helmet itself is quite light and great build quality as you would expect. Pin lock is easy to put in and works well. The sun visor is easy to use whilst on the move, I would say it feels like it doesn't quite drop enough, but that might just be my personal preference. The wind noise is louder than I expected, but not over the top. Overall this is a good helmet and for the money a great helmet, 4 stars given because of the wind noise.

I already own an S900 and as I liked it so much when it was time to upgrade another of my helmets you guessed it… I got another S900.
As always it's great that it comes with a pin lock insert.
The interior has been updated since I bought my last one which was a nice surprise.
Can't fault the helmet.

Ordered this lid, it arrived the next day with no problems at all. Really nice helmet, fits well, pin lock is the way to go for a clear visor that never steams up.

Fantastic for the money. Well made and comfortable. Looks nice and wind noise is low. I'm normally a large but found I needed an extra large in this one so I would order the next size up to what you think.

Recently decided after purchasing a new bike, that I'd also upgrade my helmet. For 2 reasons, 1) for the safety aspect 2) so that it matched my bike and the rest of my gear.

Seen this helmet, and decided to try it out, as the price was too good to pass by.

Helmet delivered the next day, came with a pinlock visor insert which is awesome. No more fogging up.
The helmet is a snug, but comfortable fit.

Less wind noise than my previous helmet which is always good.

Feels of very good quality, which is standard for shark to be fair. They were great helmets even way back 18 years ago when I passed my bike test.

Cons:-

The helmets vents are a bit of an afterthought. I don't feel much of a difference between open or closed. But to be fair I never have in any helmet I've owned. Maybe the more premium line helmets are different.

The built in sun visor doesn't come down far enough in my opinion.

Final thought:-

I'd recommend this helmet to anyone wanting a higher quality helmet, but doesn't want to pay the premium line prices.
