Ignore the touring claims and this smart jacket from Rev'it has a lot going for it...
I purchased this jacket as a second option specifically for summer riding, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. The ventilation is exceptional—far superior to the Poseidon—for handling warmer temperatures. One of my favorite features is the side map pocket, which easily accommodates a hydration pack and allows the hose to be routed directly to your helmet for convenience.
I've also fitted it with the chest and back protectors from my Poseidon, making them fully interchangeable between the two jackets. This level of versatility, combined with rugged performance, makes it a reliable companion for any adventure—no matter how far.
Thank you, Rev'it, for delivering a jacket built to explore the ends of the earth.
I love it that I now have a jacket that gives me a true layered approach to my riding.
Bought specifically it so I could wear the waterproof layer on the outside of the jacket as and when needed. I did not have to wait long to test this out as I encountered a torrential downpour, in less than 30 seconds had put the waterproof layer over my jacket. When I got home was bone dry and zero damp patches, so impressed.
With the recent hot spells the ventilation has proved very effective, with having the arm, chest and back vents fully open it does a great job.
I can also wear the waterproof layer as a standalone jacket at the end of a riding day as can the thermal layer.
The jacket looks very well put together, it's fit and feel is quality and has level 2 shoulder and elbow body armour included, also purchased the optional back protector.
My overall view is that I have purchased a quality jacket that provides complete weather protection for all scenarios with built in body armour that suits my needs.
Would I buy it again, without doubt YES
I bought the jacket a couple of weeks ago to have more versatility and after getting totally soaked in my old textiles.
I wore it last week and did just over 1100 miles in mixed conditions. 4 hours of moderate to heavy rain on Monday with strong winds moving to temps of 26c later in the week and I was very impressed.
On the Monday, the temp was around 17-18 with moderate to heavy rain. I had a merino top under the jacket with all vents open and the waterproof over the top. I remained bone dry, no rain ingress and being able to vent the jacket that way meant I was not sticky inside.
I was caught in a light shower on the Thursday and found the main jacket held up for 30 minutes without stopping and putting the waterproof on which is ideal.
The venting is very impressive and the massive back vent works really well.
The thermal liner being also full length meant I didn’t have to pack a separate warm jacket.
The only small niggle I had was fitting the optional chest armour and back protector. It was very very tight but not an issue once fitted.
Even over the last two months, the weather has varied from warmer days, cooler days and a lot of rain as you would expect in the UK. I have managed to try the outer shell with all its vents open and have utilised the waterproof layer when it’s been pouring it down with rain. I can’t fault the jacket for its performance in these conditions. The negative is the slightly tight fit when all three layers are worn at the same time. I would be tempted to replace the thermal layer with a basic thermal top or heated vest for the cold days to come. This isn’t really a negative, more of a preference. I would normally wear a size L and would say this fits true to size.
Overall, it’s a stunning looking jacket, great quality and it seems to be the jacket that does it all.
I’m normally a large with motorcycle jackets, but had to exchange this jacket for an XL. It was a little tight on the shoulders and upper arms whilst wearing the thermal, jacket and waterproof over jacket.
For the price, it represents outstanding value for money and is perfect for all seasons UK/Europe travel, particularly if layering up .
Highly recommended
