Held Ladies Renegade Textile Jacket - Black

This is my second purchase of this jacket- I’ve put on a few pounds over the last 3 years and had to size up. Shame really as the first jacket is still going strong with no flaws.
This textile jacket has everything on my wish list- thermal waste coat, waterproof / wind proof lining, vents, numerous pockets etc.
In addition to the “what’s not to love” list, I have purchased both jackets in sales which just adds to the attraction. The back protector is also great value and very easy to insert. It doesn’t feel cumbersome and is very lightweight.
Great for everyday use and touring. Easy to clean and dry. The quality you expect from Held.

This jacket really is the best I have ever had. It has so many features- lots of pockets, removable waterproof liner and thermal waistcoat. There are plenty of zips and fastenings to protect from the worst of weathers and lighter than leather.
The shoulder and elbow protection is very comfortable and does not restrict movement or rub.
I chose this jacket because it's not too long and looks good on. It connects perfectly to the trousers and looks great with my bike jeans.
I am 5'4" and a size 14 and quite busty. After reading the reviews, I chose a size up (XL) and have plenty of room for adequate clothing underneath.
I won't be going back to my leathers which are far less comfortable and heavier.
I emailed The Sports Bike Shop who helped me decide on the best back protector. Held D30, size large.

I have a Held summer jacket already so knew the quality was going to be good. I was looking for a winter short jacket but not too sporty just something waterproof, and warm.
This jacket doesn't disappoint! Its cut is very flattering and on the figure hugging side (better than bin bag look), and it has enough large vent vips to deal with warmer riding conditions. the thermal liner and waterproof membrane are removable so with vents open would be fine in summer too.
My only bug bear is the way the cuff closes it has a velcro pull tab which is fine, but for those with small wrists it makes the sleeve bunch up around the wrist when tight. I can live with that.
All in all its a great jacket for the price point, quality materials, stylish and flattering with multiple adjustment fasteners to tailor the fit.
