Givi PL1121 Tubular Pannier Holders - Honda CB500 X

Out of the box, the racks looked fine. When it came to fitting them to my bike, the truth was revealed.
All I can figure is that my particular set must have been made on a Friday afternoon, by the apprentice who had been drinking all morning, because not one of the bolt holes lined up, some not even close.
Every single one of the little arms is misaligned, to the point where the left-hand side one is twisted outwards and also rotated forwards.
To add insult to injury, the connecting brace cannot be fitted because it's somehow an inch too long. I cannot send them back because, in my efforts to correct all of this misalignment by packing it out with washers, the paint has been chipped off and some of the arms have been bent a little more. My bike now looks like the back end is completely twisted (when it isn't, it's never been dropped) and the whole thing is an embarrassment. All I can do is take a blowtorch to each of the arms and try to bend them somewhere near a bit at a time until it eventually aligns somewhere near, then have them repainted. I expected a lot better than this from Givi, my previous set for my old bike fitted perfectly...these are a joke.

These are built stupid tough, they have no wobble at all when installed properly. But you need to order the fitting kit for it. I went for the rear rack which is 1121FZ but bare in mind that also needs a top plate, as givi make good stuff but nickel and dime you at every turn.

Easy to install, needed the extra kit to get installed but eventually figured it all out.
