OK Jacket but loses waterproofing over short time

I liked this jacket but found the pocket zips would push off the end if you put something large in there. Also the waterproofing went in less than 18 months meaning I had to buy another jacket.

My Long time Jacket

Okay, so this is one that I have had since passing my test. It's been everywhere with me (Touring NC500, Wales, Ireland), weekend riding with groups and solo rides, all weather, 365 days a year.
It has a decent thermal lining, will it keep you warm...Yes, but it will require you to layer up over time; wind chill does get through after a while.
It's not waterproof, it will get wet out, and you will get damp very quickly
It can be bulky, which is not the best when you are trying to look cool, and overall, it's a textile, never gonna look the same as a leather jacket.
However.... I wear this all the time, as it's universal. This jacket can keep you warm in lower temps, it can be used to look cool, and it can be used and is still better than leather in a rainstorm. It is heavy but not that heavy; it's the jack of all trades.
It's only now that I'm swapping it out for a Laminated Jacket for touring, apart from that, it has been an amazing jacket in my opinion.

Great year round jacket

My second rst textile jacket. My go to year round item, warm enough with removable thermal liner which is full sleeve not just torso. Waterproof in light rain though I would take a waterproof outer for proper downpours. Decent armour came with a back protector. Full zip to any other rst Jean or belt. The 2 zip vents in the shoulders are handy in summer. Overall decent, warm and well priced. I did go a size bigger.

Great coat but it catches your t shirt which is a shame velcro bits tried covering them over but still rubs shame because it is a great coat.

Add a bit of waterproofing potion to your washes and this becomes a superb winter jacket. It’s a little hot in the summer, but very manageable.

I purchased this also S1 jacket and pants. I sent the S1 jacket back as this was far better. The armour in the back is great, overall good protection and fits great. Cannot fault this jacket for the money it's brilliant and SBS offer excellent service so returning the S1 was very easy.

As I was looking for a new jacket, I came across this RST on Sportsbikeshop. Tried on not been out for a ride with the jacket as yet but on trying it on it is nice and light very comfy best jacket I have purchased in years. Would recommend to anybody good job SBS keep up the good work and best of all it has two inside pockets and liner inside. good quality will last a long time. You always get top service with SBS.

Very pleased with this jacket, I had to remove the quilted liner for summer, but I think this would be a good jacket for winter as well.
Great value as well considering it comes with elbow, shoulder and back protection.

When I first saw this jacket in my local bike store, I was told they no longer manufactured my size which was a pain, as nothing else really fitted, so I stopped looking for the jacket, then was really surprised when Sportsbikeshop had them in stock! Sizing was right which can be hard to get right when ordering online, only thing that this jacket could do with is some vent zips as I'll mainly be using it as a summer jacket on a touring bike, delivery was great, arrived much earlier than expected, will definitely be ordering my kit from here from now on,
