Bought this for a weekend ride after my usual jacket was just too much in the heat.
Comfortable elbow and shoulder armour, just added back armour, really good fit knowing i’d only ever have something thin underneath

The airflow through this jacket is excellent. On a very hot day it works best at national speed limits but still functions well above 40mph, in my experience on a half faired bike. Perhaps at lower speeds on a naked. Protection I can’t comment on as although seems to be rated, not had first hand experience of this luckily..

What a great jacket for the price. Bought this for summer riding, the ventilation is superb keeps you really cool on the hottest days. 2 internal pockets, pouch for a back protector.

I took a size down from normal in this after trying in shop as I’ll only be wearing a teeshirt underneath on the hottest of days.
No back protector but I’ve loads of spares anyway so not an issue.
Love the style, sports cut even though I tour on an adventure bike
Arm length cones up a tad short but it’s actually good because the gap with short gloves is another way of cooling at the wrists.
I love RST kit but it’s usually a bit expensive however this jacket was bang on at under that magical £100 mark

Actually ordered the wrong product to start with as RST do one with the same name just not "Air" in the name. That's a much heavier style so replaced it with this (SBS refunded with no issue whatsoever). I know a lot of people criticise RST stuff but I've always found their stuff to be very good at a good price. Haven't actually had a chance to wear it yet as the weather went crap the day after it turned up! Looking forward to getting out there to test that it's cooler than the two piece leathers I have been wearing. That's the only reason I've given 4 stars as I can't verify how good it is in the heat.

Great quality as usual from rst. The open mesh panels front and rear allow loads if air flow for hot days. Level 1 armour can be a bit stiff but easily replaceable with level 2 or D30. Fits quite snug so go up a size but being mesh you are only ever going to wear a tshirt under it anyway. Really should include a back protector but the pocket is there and I had a spare.

Fits really well and it feels nice and light. Should be great for those hotter days. .
My only complaint would be the absence of a back protector, although there is a pocket to add one to.

Staff in the Preston shop were really helpful, as I tried various other jackets before deciding on this one

I was looking for a lightweight jacket which would keep me cooler than my Adventure X, I can use the back protector from the X jacket in the Pilot Evo Air jacket. Works out perfectly it's a great jacket, arms are slightly tighter but ok.

Really good quality jacket, I really like RST gear. Size 42 is perfect fit on me, 5’10” and 78kg. The only improvement I’d wish for is a removable zipped waistcoat liner to add for the days that aren’t hot n sunny .. that would make it perfect
