I’ve found this Oxford security chain to be of good quality & easy to use. I like the way the shackle comes away from the body of the lock as this makes it easier when attaching to the chain. A nice feature is the option of having the siren armed or not depending on which way round the shackle is placed in the body which is clearly marked, great for when your out on your bike & left the chain locked to a ground anchor.
Overall I’m pleased with this security product, it is heavy so I use it at home & used a lighter one for when I’m out & need to lock up my bike.
One slight criticism is that I think the siren could be a little louder, it’s not quiet but my disc lock siren is louder compared to this. Not the be all & end all.
Overall a good product.

It's all pretty sturdy, which is great. Only criticisms would be that the alarm could be a little louder and could also maybe do with a 5 second hold-off, to stop it chirping the moment you're trying to get the key in. Other than that, I've been very impressed so far.

I use the lock with the chain on a ground anchor at home, and just the lock as a disc lock for short stops out and about. Remember to get a reminder cable if you use it as a disc lock! Both lock and chain are solid. The alarm feature is inevitably a bit annoying (it will go off accidentally when you bump it taking your luggage off etc) but I do value it as a deterrent.

I love that while parked at home I have her chained up, but you can take the disc-lock with you. The alarm is sensitive, but the lock is heavy enough that wimd wont move or trigger it, just make sure when it's armed it's in the position you want it in. I had the scramble in the dark to turn it off lol.

Seems decent quality and a very heavy chain. Using with a ground anchor and seems like it'll slow any scum bags down. Disc lock seems good. I've been using one without the alarm for years and it's very good. The alarm doesn't quite seem 100db to me but I could be wrong!

Did not realise just how heavy this was until it arrived. Not a problem, it was intended as a 'home' lock rather than a carry one - although of course the lock can be used separately.
The lock alarm. Not sure if mines got a flat battery, but it isn't that loud. Put it this way - my fairly jumpy cat was on the sofa next to me when I set it off - twitched her ears, that was it. So only 4*s, I'm afraid. Useful to remind you that you've left the lock on, but I don't think it would deter a thief. May still get another one for home use.
