Klim Outlander Gore-Tex Leather Boots - Asphalt / High Risk Red

Very comfortable on and off the bike, easy to take on and off with the Boa system.

Spent year in military and now a firefighter so spend a lot of time in boots both on and off the bike. These are hands down the best fitting all-round shoes you can get, tbh I've worn them more for walking the dog than bike in this current weather but are holding up perfectly on the bike as well. BUY THEM!

I’ve always found Klim clothing to come up small so opted to try these boots on before purchasing. I’m normally a EU43 so when I saw my closest size was EU44.5 my thought was they would be huge however I was so wrong. These boots come with a sole insert to compensate for the half size so theoretically these boots would now be EU44. I tried them on and found I didn’t need the insert so they do come up small so worth trying on before buying.
The BOA lacing system is a revelation for me being first time of wearing them and they transform putting these boots on. They create a true custom fit so 5 stars for that feature alone.
The boots are comfortable straight from box and so light you forget your wearing them.
Wore in the rain and found fully waterproof. I’d recommend these boots for daily riding all year.

These boots are simply fantastic, super lightweight so you really don’t feel like you have them on, yes they are a little pricey but well worth the money

Great boot so comfy, easy to get on and off and the lacing system is great. You could wear them all day and out at night. Well worth the money.

I was surprised by how comfortable these boots were on day one of getting them. This comfort has not changed after a 5 day 1,000 mile tour wearing them for 10-12 hours a day. Despite being rained on nearly constantly they never let water in, except when my over trousers lifted up allowing a few drips in the top. They are both comfortable to walk in and ride in, with plenty of grip.

The BOA system to close them works well, making getting them on and off easy, all though I did have to move the tongue sometimes as it tried going on the outside of the boot.

I will be buying these boots from now on.

They are fantastic boots, very comfortable, lightweight, waterproof with the great lace system. The only downside is that they are not accurate to the size. Normally I wearing number 9 UK but this boots are smaller to the size so I have to buy number 10 UK to fit me best.

This is my second purchase of the excellent mid-ankle Klim Outlander, the first having served me 25k odd miles where the gear change reinforcement patch was beginning to wear a bit too thin and the patina tarnished from salt staining over three winters of heavy riding.

1. The BOA fastening system (as used on ski boots) is so easy and quick to get the boots on and off and allows you to tighten securely but at the same time comfortably - a real pleasure to use.
2. The grip is fantastic for all types of road surfaces wet and dry, including forest trails and green laning.
3., Being Gortex they keep your feet dry.
4. I especially like the ‘clever by design’ mixture of leather and synthetic materials giving the boot an extremely comfortable fit from the off and adds to their great styling.
5. I’m usually a size 10.5 inches for shoes, trainers etc and found the Euro size 46 is perfect - noting that is one size up hence not true to size. Come supplied with a spare insole which the spec states allows for a more flexible fit if required.
6. When off the bike, they are very easy to walk around in and give the feel and visual impression of a normal (great) quality hiking boot. The subtlety designed gear-change reinforcement patch is an especial highlight feature for comfort.

Yes the Outlander is relatively expensive but worth every penny and I can’t fault them.
Excellent ‘try on before you buy’ service from SBS and shout out to the always helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly staff at the Leeds store. Highly recommended.

This is the second pair of Outlander boots for me. They are so comfortable to wear, ride bikes with and to walk in. Have not found a more effective boot in the last 50 years of riding.
