Keis J501RP Premium Heated Jacket - Black / Red

Based on advice I opted for the J501RP as it is thinner and lighter than the other one. The advice was this is only to provide heat and better to layer up. This made a lot of sense to me. I have used the jacket along with the matching gloves on a few rides on cold days and it has been fantastic. I only ride for pleasure and it does make the winter rides just as fun. The best part is telling your riding friends how warm you feel

It’s like a reasonably warm inner jacket without electrical power.. On a 2 degree day I had it on full power using the controller and it was toasty.. At 7 degrees I tried it on medium but after 3/4 of an hr went back to high . I usually need an XL which this is but I’d prefer a large on the basis that it’s probably going to be snug and more tightly wrapped fit to get the heat closer..
I also have the power lead SAE optimate lead to power it up..

Jacket looks great quality although it s not what I imagined. Wires seem to be everywhere in little zip pockets which I suppose is for the attachable trousers and gloves, but not what I need. It came without the power cable which was duly sent on free of charge. The instructions are minimalist and I can t seem to work out whether I can power it off standard batteries rather than the highly expensive proprietary ones that also don t seem to have much run time in them. Overall, I feel a bit underwhelmed.

I should of bought one years ago. As warm as toast on medium setting.Excellent service as usual

True to size, well manufactured jacket ideal for use under an armoured jacket for the colder months, fast warming with sufficient pre set temps- hot setting ideal for initial warm up then I find lower setting is good for maintaining body warmth. Highly recommended bit of kit

This was my first introduction to any form of heated clothing and as with all the other reviews, its a fantastic piece of kit and a real game changer.
I've now removed the thermal liner in my Alpinestars jacket and am just wearing a base layer underneath and am plenty warm enough on a 2 hour motorway journey when the temperatures have sat around 0 degrees.

One big thing I didnt realise that maybe I should have done is go down a size (one review somewhere mentions this...) as the more snug against you it is, the more beneficial the heating is.

I wear this with just a t-shirt underneath and worn it down to around -4 Deg C. Keeps you really toasty and you can change heat settings or switch it off whilst on the bike. No faff at all. It's super comfortable and looks good when off the bike too. Would recommend! Should have bought this sooner.

The Keis heated jacket is a step up from the body warmer and worth every penny! It has a soft shell feel to the outside and the soft inside means you could easily wear this as a jacket once you ve reached your destination!
The elasticated cuffs are super comfortable and fit perfectly with the Keis heated gloves. The windproof quality of this jacket means that even without any heat on, you are going to be comfortable even when the temperature begins to drop.
I wish I could give this jacket five stars, the only thing that lets it down is that there is nowhere to store the battery. This is something that you will have to consider if you are getting this jacket for use off the bike as you will have to deal with having a battery in your pocket with your hand.

This is a fantastic piece of winter kit. It is windproof with excellent heating. Heating is rapid and you are toasty in moments. The highest setting would cook you, low to medium settings are ample. You couldn’t use it without the heating control.
It connects reliably to my heated gloves and socks. I wouldn’t leave home without it.

As a daily commuter, I feel like I have discovered a motorcycle ’cheat code’.
No longer am I layered up like a Michelin man with limited freedom of movement.
4°c - shirt, this heated jacket, goretex outer. Job done. Warm and dry.
It is like being wrapped in a warm duvet.
Yet to go above ‘medium’, even on a frosty 30 mile run which includes motorway.
Hands down the best purchasing decision I have made.
If you can spare the cash, and you are an all year round rider- do it.
Also wears well off the bike as a regular softshell jacket.
Simple to wire in, easy to use controller.
Hard recommend.

This Keis heated jacket is hands down one of the best bits of kit I ve owned. It heats up fast, spreads warmth evenly across the chest, back, collar and arms, and makes cold-weather riding genuinely enjoyable.

It fits comfortably under riding gear without feeling bulky, the controls are simple to use (even with gloves on), and it keeps you warm at speed where normal layers just don t cut it.

If you ride in colder months, this jacket isn t just nice to have it s a must-have. Once you ve ridden with one, you won t go back. ?

I had a great experience with Sportsbikeshop. Ian was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to talk me through the options, helping me choose the right setup for my needs (vest versus jacket). His advice was thoughtful, practical, and clearly based on real riding experience rather than just trying to sell a product.

The heated jacket itself is excellent very well made, comfortable to wear, and heats up quickly with an even, noticeable warmth. Being able to regulate the temperature makes it easy to adjust while riding, and the option to connect it directly to the bike s battery is a real bonus for longer or colder rides.

Overall, the whole process felt easy and well supported. Highly recommend both the store and Ian if you want honest guidance and quality kit.

Great fit. Went for XL, (46 inch chest, long arms). Real quality material and comfy. Hardly notice it under riding jacket and easy to connect to bike via Oxford junction box and even nicer being able to connect to gloves without cables everywhere.

Keis heated jacket excellent quality, really pleased with my purchase. Does what it says really warm on cold days the only slight negative is the battery time could be a bit better. Usual excellent service from sportsbikeshop. Summing up I would recommend this jacket
