Lightweight, comfortable heated under trousers designed to be powered by your vehicle
DetailsVerified Customer Reviews for Keis T103RP Heated Trousers
Customers generally find the trousers beneficial for cold weather, enhancing warmth and extending their riding season. While sizing can be tricky, the fit is mostly comfortable with stretchy material. However, many emphasize the necessity of a separate controller to manage heat, particularly if wearing with other heated items. Connectivity issues and comfort challenges arise due to wiring and heat concentration at the front. Despite certain design flaws and the cost, many customers find them a valuable investment for colder rides.
I have the pants jacket and socks and they are a game changer they fit under my winter gear as well as my summer Gear they are just like wearing normal thermals but hated. The only One thing I wish they had have Done is if you had the pants and the jacket one controller would have been nice but How it works one controller does all bottom half off equipment ie pants socks and insoles and top half does jacket and gloves. so for all that i needed 2 controllers but apart from that 110%
Feel a bit bulky , especially considering your not supposed to where these directly against the skin , so with long John’s , heated trousers, and normal motorcycle trousers it’s a bit challenging , BUT ITS WELL WORTH IT nice and toasty on top of your legs , and the front , even on low settings. Bit surprised that I needed to spend another £30 plus on another controller , disappointing that you can’t control jacket and trousers through one controller ,
As always Keis stuff is amazing. I have the jacket and gloves and can go out in all weather and temperatures with no issues. Fantastic quality and a great product. Size chart seems a bit off. I am a 34” waist for jeans but needed the large. (Size chart says small???)
These trousers are brilliant, on high they are too hot (unless it s really cold, mid setting and they are mega comfortable)
I bought these trousers to go with the Keis heated jacket and boy do they work!
The thick and soft front of the trousers means that they also keep the wind. The back is soft, thin and stretchy which allows for all of the heating element at the front to be nice and close to your skin. It s like the back is designed to hold the front in place without compromising comfort. There is no heating element to the rear, it is designed so that you can still sit comfortably on the bike and the trousers have enough flexibility so that whilst you re walking around you don t really feel them on you, unless you have the heat turned on of course!
Once these trousers are turned on, they are extremely warm, I rode to work when it was -1 and I had to turn them down. You won t be disappointed, you will start riding and then suddenly realise it was worth every penny. Much like the jacket they take no time at all to heat up and you instantly feel the warmth.
The trouser has a input at the waist which connect it straight to the jacket and ones at the ankle so that you can connect it to the insoles Keis have taken care of all the wiring so you don t have metres of wires hanging around you to be tucked away.
Combined with the heated jacket these make tramping in cold weather comfortable.
You need the power controller separately which is not ideal. Leaving with you a lot of wires to sort.
However a few minutes faffing about pays dividends when out in
I'm a professional motorcycle coach and ride all year round. This is a must product and performs excellently .I've used the trousers in temperatures of -5c on a 230mile journey with the heat setting flipping between low and medium. A game changer when riding in sub zero temperatures. I had the heated trousers under leathers.
I use the Keis T103RP Heated Trousers for blood bike shifts, riding in all weathers down to around 4–5 degrees for hours at a time, and they genuinely make the difference between just getting through it and actually being comfortable. They fit easily under proper bike trousers without feeling bulky, and once they are up to temperature the overall warmth across the front of the legs is excellent. On long, cold motorway stints they really take the sting out of the windchill and let you focus on the job rather than how cold your legs are. As part of a full Keis setup they plug in neatly and just get on with it.
They are not perfect though. The heating elements over the knees can get very hot as your knees are bent and that tightens the trousers over your knees of course, even on the low setting, so you do have to play around with the controller to stay between uncomfortably hot knees and cold lower legs. I've knocked a star off for this. All the heat is on the front, so the backs of your legs and calves can still feel cold on longer rides, especially if your outer trousers are a bit baggy. For my use they are still worth it because they let me sit on a bike for several hours in single digit temperatures without my thighs turning to ice, but it is worth knowing that the warmth is focused at the front and around the knees rather than being fully wrapped around the leg.
Finally, I've knocked another star off because at this price point, it's disgraceful that Keis don't include the small £20 controller for between the jacket and trousers - if you bought these standalone you'd have no controller at all, and you'd be roasted running these on full power. Not acceptable Keis!
These can be powered by the bike (trike, in my case) battery, powered by their own battery (available separately for those with spare cash) or powered from the heated jacket. I'd put the connections in to power the jacket from the trike battery, so powering the trousers from the jacket made sense.
It didn't work.
Reading the instructions is a good thing. I didn't - how hard is it to plug two bits of wire together when they have plugs in the end - and so I'd connected them up wrong.
A quick review of the instructions, connections sorted and they work a treat.
I got a power controller for the jacket (it was free), but it only controls the power to the jacket, not the trousers, so the trousers are getting full battery power so are on max heat. This makes my leggies really warm when I'm stopped, but once I get moving the air flow removes the excess heat and it's lovely.
I have windproof trousers (ski trousers actually, because they're stylish as you like), but I guess they'd still work under jeans.
They are a bit bulky at the top where the power controller plugs in, and are not particularly high waisted, but that's only minor, and not a problem unless you're going to spray on your over trousers. The only other 'minorly poor' bit is that you do need to wear a base layer under the heated trousers, so plan your loo breaks carefully to avoid doing the wee wee dance trying to out of of everything.
Buy them, they're great.
Works well wiith my heated jacket
Yet to be tested in earnest but I am confident they will be great. They didn't come with a regulator but fortunately I already have a vest and a jacket both with one so not a problem for me. They are a snug fit and fit under my KLIM trousers very well. Very happy so far.
This is a must have on cold days, they compliment the Keis heated jacket and are easily connected.
I tried the Keis gear out on a frosty morning & it was like riding in the summer.
Only downside is that you need to buy a heat controller or you get too hot, but overall they do exactly what you need
I ride all year and of all the items of heated clothing I have these trousers have made the biggest difference to keeping me warm - frustrating as I bought this item last when if I'd bought first I might not have needed the other bits.
That said they aren't perfect.
They warm up fast and the heat pad location on the front of the legs works great for me.
My problem is mainly how the wires connect to the jacket and my heated insoles, and how the controller connects to them.
The fleece lining and snug fit makes it very difficult to put them on over socks and base layer.
And the bulk of the controller and connector block for both the trousers and heated jacket can be uncomfortable when sat on the bike.
They are thick too and you might have restricted movement once you have your outer layer on.
First, Keis state that you shouldn't wear these without something underneath which kind of renders them pointless and in a lot of cases, unsuitable as not everyone can fit 2 bases layers under their trousers. It's also strange as they are fleece lined themselves.
Personally I found the sizing weird. I got a pair that were a little loose around my waist, perfect length but very, very tight to get in to and a real struggle with a base layer on. I'm 5'8'' and 70KG so I do not have big legs. Worse is that the crotch is too low so if you try to swing your leg over your bike you'll likely rip the trousers which is something people do comment about. For £200 I was very disappointed.
I bought a vest first and I'm really pleased with that so I bought this trousers because the underlayers were not enough to keep my knees warm. I used it in -6 degree, set it to max power and kept me warm and comfortable, top and bottom. size wise usually 36 waist(M) fits well, this fits spot on, a bit more on the tight side so I recommend to size up for I bit more space.
I bought these to complete the set of Keis jacket and inner soles which I've found to be really great.
These trousers make it really easy to connect to the inner soles so now I don't have run long cables through my regular trousers.
Two points which I don't like about these trousers though - the heat seems mainly focused on the front of your leg, with nothing at the sides which gets most of the wind blast and makes the non-heated bits feel colder in comparison.
Keis should have put the controller on the other side, there is now a lot of bulk on the left hand side with two controllers and all the connecting cables.
So they are ok, and they will keep me riding through winter but could be better.
The best trouser inner going.
Heat at the touch of a button and controllable temperature too..
I already had the jacket and gloves so thought I'd complete the ensemble. Works really great and it's very comfy, absolute game-changer. Size wise just pick your normal trouser size and you should be fine. The service from Sportsbikeshop is just outstanding too.
