Rukka Ladies Nivala Gore-Tex Textile Jacket - Black / Silver

Bought these to stop faffing with waterproofs on long tours or getting wet eventually.
First of all... Fantastic fit! I get compliments everywhere I go how smart the jacket looks on me. And it feels just nice wearing it. You just stop thinking about it, it fits that well.
Everything oozes quality and is the right thing in the right place.
I've ridden through torrential rain for 3 hours and stayed dry. It felt like there was a bit of moisture coming through but my clothing and skin were dry after all.
But... the collar is snug. You have to be okay with that. This way it won't let any water in. I got used to it. However, the storm flap is now integrated into it and rolled up inside. You cannot take it out like on the previous model which means it's bunches up in there and makes a thick collar which I find a bit annoying. Particular with long hair having to somehow make its way out of the back of the helmet. You could cut off the flap, which I have considered as I can't see myself using it, but then who wants to cut off things from a £1000+ jacket...

I love the separate inner liner which you don't have to remove when stopped and could wear out for a jacket in the evening when touring. The long sleeves with the extra inner helps prevent wind and rain going up your arm. I wasn't sure what size to go for so went for the more fitted size which is gradually softening and very comfortable. The shoulders are a little on the large size but the overall fit is great. I've yet to try it in the rain.

Perfect jacket for cooler weather and/or rain. Love it! Cuffs zip over my gloves, which is proving to be so much better than my velcro sleeves on my summer jacket. Worth every penny!

Very comfortable and fully waterproof. I love the separate down filled liner enabling you to keep a layer on when stopped for a break. Ventilation is very good too, arm, shoulder, back and full length side vents too. I've ridden in Scotland in the wet and also temperatures of between 8 & 20 so far, and it's been great. I'm a size 12 and purchased a 14, room for a couple of base layers and a T-shirt too. Sportsbikeshop customer service as normal was first class
