Rukka D3O XTR Back Protector

Ordered size Medium for Rukka Kalix 2 jacket (size L). It fits perfectly in the jacket pocket as it is really flexible and seems well made. The jacket came with shoulder and elbow protectors but no back protector. Gives you a bit more confidence. Arrived with jacket really quickly, excellent service from sportsbikeshop.

Got this last week and been waiting for some rain to try it out in my new Kalix 2.0 jacket. Good old England ya don't have to wait long. 11th Oct. 15 degrees, light rain for an hour. All good and didn't notice it in. Did make my back sweat a bit (just had a cotton t shirt on). For 60 odd quid it's a no brainer . The sizing - site says it comes in 3 sizes and M not in stock. I've checked the packaging and it says it comes in M 44-54 and L 56-66 (for men) S 32-44 and M 46-50 (for ladies) I assumed it's for the euro jacket sizing. I got the Large 56-66 and fits the 2xl Kalix a treat. Hope this helps.

A really good back protection surprisingly flexible and you don't notice it's in the jacket

Bought to fit a Rukka Kalix2 jacket and it fits well is very comfortable to wear.

I'm hoping not to test its effectiveness but being D30 I'm confident it will do its job if needed.

This was really difficult to get in a medium, everyone was waiting on stock… The medium back protector fits the Rukka Kalix jacket perfectly, it is longer and thicker than my other back protectors. The grid pattern keeps the weight down and helps to make it almost unnoticeable when wearing it. Excellent price with the Sportsbikeshop saving.

As the title suggests. Why wouldn't you want a back protector? I found it odd that one isn't supplied with the Kalix 2, but that said the quality of this item is on par with what you would expect from Rukka. Fits nicely into the jacket and give you a bit more protection and reassurance.

I bought this to add into my Kalix jacket.

It fitted perfectly into the opening in the back of the jacket, just undo the zip at the bottom and slide it straight in!

The fit is perfect and you cannot even notice it is in there where as other back protectors I have had previously fit poorly and are sometimes uncomfortable.

Purchased this to go with my new Kalix jacket, was surprised to how large it was and how thick it was compared to some others, but it is the Extreme XTR series. Once snuggly fitted into my jacket, it is brilliant, considering it's size, you have no idea that it is there for how flexible it is, plus, from its size it completely protects the back, right the way down and widely across your back too. Fills with great confidence the level of protection you get from it, and is so worth paying that little bit extra. Five stars from me & great advice from Sportsbikeshop too.

If you buy a Rukka Jacket then I recommend you buy their safety Back Protection. Fits like a Glove where other brands seem to be a bit loose in the Jacket

Great addition to my Rukka Forsair Jacket providing reassuring protection combined with superb airflow and comfort. Rukka should really supply these as standard and a definite upgrade to their jacket

I bought this to go in my new Rukka jacket and wasn't expecting it to be so big - it's HUGE but extremely comfortable. It must be the most comfortable and secure feeling back protector I've had in any jacket. It just moulds into my back when riding and I really don't feel it's there.
