Reviews This is the highest spec of jacket RST have ever made, and our reviewer is a big fan...

Customers are overwhelmingly positive about this high-quality jacket, praising its durability, comfort, and comprehensive protection due to its robust construction and level 2 armour. Despite its weight, the jacket provides excellent thermal regulation with a separate rain over-jacket and ventilation, ensuring comfort in various climates. The inclusion of a warm inner liner and numerous pockets add to its functionality. While some noted minor issues with fit and ease of use, the overall value and performance make it a highly recommended choice for riders.
Bought this for a trip to Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. It was great in all the vonditions encountered including the end of the rainy season, humidity by the coast and colder mountain areas. Ventalation is great as is the rain jacket. Very comfortable and well made ut much lighter than my old RST Jacket. Also used at home before I left and with thermal liner was good on colder mornings.
This is the exact one which I am looking for under my budget. The jacket is a full pack for all climate conditions. I am yet to carry to my home country in November. But I trialed and felt the sturdiness, quality and purpose. I will have to test it with our tropical climate conditions specially during summer will be like 45 degree Celsius. Definitely dont need the warm liner hehe. Wait till December for my updates.
Great jacket keeps you warm would probably be a good improvement if the inner jacket was a fleece instead of quilt style that grabs your arms if you get hot. Another improvement would be Velcro positioning on the lining to stop the shoulder going down the sleeve otherwise a solid bit of safety gear
I love this jacket. It s reassuringly heavy yet incredibly comfortable. I really appreciate the separate rain over-jacket rather than a laminated textile it keeps the main jacket dry, which is perfect when you re coming in from the rain or stopping for a coffee. Just take off the rain layer, and you re still warm and dry underneath.
There are loads of pockets, the inner jacket is warm and comfortable, and with Level 2 armour and an AA safety rating, what s not to like?
At first it give you the impression that it’s a quite ridged jacket and apart from the stretch panels, which by the way arnt very aesthetically pleasing but do a really good job. The whole thing however give you confidence to ride in, due to its robust feel. This for me was due to the extra and included chest and back armour, which is a really good touch from RST. Once broken in the jacket becomes like an old favourite, although quite heavy, the weight is a trade off from construction and price I suppose? The vent system is awesome, but requires some preparation before putting it on. The idea of have an external waterproof layer is something I can really get behind, the over-jacket is more than large enough and really keeps the water off. The inner thermal lining is of hollow fibre construction and fits slightly larger than the size, but keeps you as warm as you need down to about 5Deg C, however the size of the whole jacket is slightly bigger than average so there’s plenty of room for a down jacket. The sleeves are the only slight let down they could do with being an inch or two longer. On the whole very good value for money and I’m more than happy with the jacket and the postage was very prompt.
I bought these for 2 reasons, 1st , I commute everyday about 90min round trip & needed to upgrade my gear & 2nd , they are on sale!! Bonus ! I ve used them everyday since buying them . They are great , warm , look the part , well made & the I like having separate the waterproofs . For me that works well , I get to work , take off the waterproof's put them to dry in the changing rooms & all my other gear goes in my locker bone dry so when I finish work I dont have to worry about putting damp gear back on ? The only thing thats bugging me a bit but not a deal breaker, the sleeves need to be a little bit wider , I m wearing heated gloves at the moment ( I hate being cold ) & putting them on can be battle , getting them over the battery s is hard work I m sure there is technic to it , I just haven t got it yet! The trousers are really good , I m a 30 waist but went for 32in knowing I like getting layered up & they fit lovely, very comfy, well made & look like they will last for years .
I like the way it looks the quality and fit. I like the fact it’s breathable and you add a waterproof jacket and there’s no weather that’s a problem.
Despite its weight, it's comfortable and I feel safe in it.
I recommend it.
Quality, fit, style, comfort, features, price.
I have just started using the jacket, it feels very comfortable and fits well. Haven't tried the over jacket for rain protection yet, but I am sure it will work well.
A great all in one adventure textile kit, well vented, great safety protection and a great waterproof kit to accompany it. I bought the jacket and trousers, and received first rate customer service as always as had to experiment with sizing. I ve said previously that the shop info videos that are available are so helpful and help you make an informed choice based on real bikers advice. One word - MINT
After seeing the Sportsbikeshop review for this jacket on YouTube it was exactly what I was looking for. Having owned the jacket for several weeks now I am very pleased with my purchase. This is a quality item with a good safety rating. Great service from all at Sportsbikeshop.
After trying on a few jackets this one had the best construction and features. Strong materials and stitching, metal poppers, lots of vents front and rear, fully level 2 armoured inc chest and back,
waterproof outer jacket in removable tail pack/pocket and a warm liner. Only one minor problem is the front vents can be a bit fiddly to zip back up until you have got the nack. You won't buy a better jacket fot this price.
Great jacket worn in the blistering sun and kept comfy by the four zipped vents. Fully armoured what more could you want
This is an extremely well put together piece of kit. You get what you pay for comes to mind.
It feels solid with the level two armour all around, especially in the chest area.
It’s obviously been thought through , the removal inner garment for extra warmth, which can be worn by itself.
The waterproof over jacket which seals the jacket from wind and rain.
Large side outer pockets work well, using strong Velcro and a zip. Velcro can be a bit stiff at first.
The only thing which I find annoying is the left inside zip pocket. They have lowered it almost to your hip to make room for the chest armour pocket, which is fine if you have arms a foot longer.
It is hard to put your phone or wallet in this inside pocket, like when paying for fuel or shopping, I tend to use the front side pocket with the Velcro and the zip.
The neck closure works well to seal draughts.
The multiple zip front side and back ventilation seems very well designed. Yet to try in warm weather, but I would say this is going to be good.
The shoulder external pads give you a good sense of security,
Overall it’s a very solid jacket, you do feel very protected. It is heavy to carry, but not whilst wearing.
It’s the best jacket to date for me, after forty years riding.
If you want a quality jacket that seems to do everything, I recommend you try this one. SBS will look after you so you will be in safe hands.
I'm so pleased with the jacket, it's surprisingly heavy but that's reassuring. The quality is excellent and the armour is well placed and comfortable. The jacket with the inner jacket has been very warm in 1 degree weather, only needing a T-shirt underneath but without the liner and with the ventilation zips open it should prove cool for the summer. It also includes a separate rain jacket outer which is easy to put on.An excellent buy. Placed my order on a Saturday and it was delivered Sunday which is brilliant from sportsbikeshop.
High quality suit and material, Jacket weight is substantial.
Armour everywhere!
Bargain at this price point.
Bought to replace a BMW Rallye 3 suit with removable drop liners. The waterproof overs on this are easy enough to get on and work, though its already started raining typically when you stop to put them on !
The suit has great vents which makes it perfect for hotter climates.
Lots of pockets.
I can get the waterproof top and bottoms in the big rear stuff pocket at the base of the jacket.
The jacket thermal liner is good enough to use as a seperate, standalone jacket in cooler evenings off the bike.
I dont use the trousers thermal liner, just not needed and I also think they make the main trouser leg a little to tight.
Think about how and where you ride.
This is key.
For the UK, maybe not ideal and a laminate would be better, as you have to stop and put on the waterproof layers. For warmer and more consistent weather climates I think its just about perfect and covers all needs.
Impressed so far and great service from SBS as always.
Early days yet but will be tested to the max in Europe and India next year.
Materials and construction are good, general fit of the XL for me as 5'10" 46" chest is super. However the weight could be an issue for some. This is a heavy jacket by most standards. Partly as it has a 7pc level 2 set of armour included, but remove that and the jacket is quite heavy. The Destination jacket is better than previous liners, but it's not a great fit and the collar is possibly too tall. Having ridden in rain the WP over coat is good and waterproof. But again the fit has room for some
improvement. Loads of decent vents which should be good next summer !?! Pockets and storage in abundance for those who like to carry loads of stuff on them.
