RST Pro Series Ranger CE Textile Jacket - Black

Materials and construction are good, general fit of the XL for me as 5'10" 46" chest is super. However the weight could be an issue for some. This is a heavy jacket by most standards. Partly as it has a 7pc level 2 set of armour included, but remove that and the jacket is quite heavy. The Destination jacket is better than previous liners, but it's not a great fit and the collar is possibly too tall. Having ridden in rain the WP over coat is good and waterproof. But again the fit has room for some
improvement. Loads of decent vents which should be good next summer !?! Pockets and storage in abundance for those who like to carry loads of stuff on them.

AA rated jacket with level 2 armour. You'd struggle to find another jacket the same spec for a lower price. I also bought the matching trousers. Haven't used much so can't comment on longevity. I did have to size up from my normal size and all the pads fitted in the right places (elbow and knees are adjustable). Only way could be better is if it was AAA rated but you pay big money for that.

I've been wearing the RST Pro series Paragon 5 for the last 5 years (almost every day, in all weathers, for commuting) so needed to upgrade. It took a few days to get used to the new kit, as it always does but now I am used to it, it feels great. The upgraded armour took time to feel right as I wasn't used to chest armour.
I've only ridden in cold wet weather so far and the waterproof over jacket is superb. My old jacket was a small so chose small again. It was way too tight so changed it for a medium. Fits great. Highly recommend. Just give it a few days to get used to it. Looking forward to warmer weather to test out the highly rated venting system. If you can get to one of the Sportsbikeshop shops, pre book a couple of sizes to try out the fit that best you.
