Verified Customer Reviews for Schuberth E2
A few hundred miles into using this helmet now and I'm happy. Wind noise hasn't been an issue at all, just as quiet as my neotec or hornet lids. The peak does move a little at high speed but it's a one off move up at speed and a move down when slowing. It's doesn't flip about willy nilly and it's five millimetres at most. Not an issue for me. Visor optics are excellent.
The fit was a little tight but the custom pad kit resolved that. Fitting the comms took less than two minutes.
All in all it's a good lid and SBS service was 5* as always.
I bought this as I fancied a helmet with a peak for those low sun days.
The helmet itself is beautifully made, the peak is adjustable, the fit is nice the pin lock works and it's fairly quiet. My only negative points are that it feels a bit front heavy (compared to other modular lids I've used) and the fabric that's in contact with my forehead feels a bit scratchy. That said it's a great helmet and I'm glad I bought it.
Really good fit and view with the added bonus of built in comms sc2 haven't tried that bit yet saves the messing around adding the unit in your helmet. Really good field of vision and being able to add or remove interior padding is good too
Top of the range helmet that fits like a glove (Not that I wear gloves on my head!) and inspires confidence in protecting my bonce. However, the peak moves. A lot. With the helmet on a flat surface and applying very gentle finger pressure, the end of the peak moves up & down about 15 to 20mm. It is impossible to get additional torque/grip to hold any firmer in position. I returned it Schuberth via SBS for inspection who just returned it to me without any feedback which I take to mean that they think it is fine. But it isn't. I worry it's going to fly off in high winds, plus the peak can rattle a bit in crosswinds. It's a lot of cash to protect your bonce, and whilst the comfort and quality of everything other than the peak is top notch, I d advise others to be slightly beware of the flappy peak.
Own several helmets including a C5. This is better than the C5. For me looks better and has better vents. It is more noisy than the C5 but that is to be expected. Cant see any reason to buy a C5 when this converts to essentially a C5 In seconds. The peak adjusts in 3 positions, at its highest you cant see the peak. I ride a Tiger 1200 explorer rally 2022 with a summer screen fitted. The price dropped the following week but Superbikeshop refunded the difference, great service.
I chose to buy the Schuberth E2 because of it's noise rating and the positive reviews it has received since it's release.
Straight out of the box, the quality could be seen and felt. The comfort and noise reduction during use was very obvious straight away.
I got a small amount of peak vibration at motorway speeds, but no more than my previous helmet. This is not an issue with the helmet though, it has more to do with the design of the screen on my motorcycle.
However, Shuberth has designed the peak to be removed with effortless ease, which I can put away in my top case if i feel the need to do so!
During the time of purchasing my new Schuberth E2, SPORTSBIKESHOP.CO.UK had the most competitive price in the UK market.
Top marks for Shuberth and top marks for SportsBikeShop.co.uk
Great helmet. I find it comfy and the ventilation is great, The peak sits in a good position.
Local shop didn't have any in stock, i knew my size so went onto Sportsbikeshop and had the lid in 2 days. Really pleased.
Now owning both C5 and new E2
I can say there is a difference, there is more noise from the E2 which is obviously the peak regardless of wind tunnel testing. It's not as noisy as my tour x4 if you want the quiet life and don't need that enduro look go for the C5.
All round vision is good interior is quality But the annoying thing on both helmets for me is the intercom microphone is so close to the chin and flip mechanism it traps upon shutting the flip lid
And once the microphone fell out and landed in the road.
Maybe it's a personal issue.
Great quality helmet. Adjustable peak works well. Function of visor and flip is good. Ventilation is best I've ever had. Grey colour looks nice. Price matched by SportsbikesShop with rapid delivery.
The best upgrade I think Schuberth have done this E2 ticks all the boxes of a great helmet, good airflow, great vision, absolutely no wind buffering. And less noise with the integration of comms accessories
10/10
Just purchased the two very quiet, very comfortable much improved from my old helmet. If you're thinking of getting one then do as it has made my riding more comfortable
4th Schuberth helmet, as usual super quiet, snug fitting and excellent build quality.
Worth noting my 28 month old C4 internal drop down sun visor mechinism broke and Sportbikeshop replied with DPD pick up label and repaired and returned in a week, all free of charge making after sales service second to none
I've replaced my E1 with this, it's got a wider view, very comfortable.
I've only used it a few times so far, not sure if the claim that it's quiter than the E1 is true, ovarall I'm very pleased with it.
Replaced my E1
Quality seems good not as comfortable as E1 but hopefully after a few more hours that'll come I would rather it came not set up for schuberth intercom as first thing I done was remove it.
Happy so far the peak is an improvement over E1
I ride a Tenere World Raid, I take it off-tarmac a lot, as well as road use. This helmet is perfect for all these activities. The comfort, permitted noise-level, quality and reliability are second to none with Schuberth and this helmet in my opinion. Great that Schuberth addressed the demand to make a C5 for us dirt fans.
Had the E1 for 4 years thought I would try a different brand, now just purchased the new E2! Perfection is all I need to say, glad to be back with a SCHUBERTH E, never going away again!
Have never owned an SCHUBERTH helmet before, well that's been my loss. The fitting of it is second to none, like it has been custom made for me. Very light weight for a flip up once the helmet was on. I noticed it had an excellent field of vision. The internal sun visor drops completely down so definitely no need for the tinted visor. Also has great sound proofing quality about it. About the headset that fits this helmet, the SC2 outstanding bit of kit absolutely amazing clarity so easy to set up and the phone app for the SC2 is just simply amazing in my opinion. All in all it's a pleasure just to wear it cheers

About
Schuberth
Schuberth motorcycle helmets are, and always have been, developed and manufactured using a quality oriented approach. Since the late 1970's, Schuberth have specialised exclusively in the production of head protection technology, cementing their position today as THE motorcycle helmet specialist. As well as motorbike helmets, Schuberth also design and manufacture helmets for the police, fire service, military and other areas of motorsport, most famously for use in Formula 1. The fact that Michael Schumacher has chosen to work with the brand for so long speaks volumes about its pedigree, and the company's commitment to the development of helmet technology. This commitment is made further apparent by the fact that Schuberth are the only bike helmet manufacturer in the world with their own acoustic and wind tunnels. Via their base in Magdeburg, Schuberth are, quite rightly, proud to promote their "made in Germany" message and now export motorbike helmets to more than 50 different countries throughout the world.
