Reviews After more than 2000 road miles our verdict on HJC's new flipfront helmet is in...

Customers praised the HJC helmet for its comfort, fit, and quietness, with improved features such as ventilation, visor operation, and integrated communication options. Despite some weight concerns, the helmet balances well, particularly with the flip-up function. Customers expressed satisfaction with the sun visor, ventilation system, and ease of use. Some noted minor issues with visor or chinbar mechanics. Overall, the helmet was recommended as a quality, affordable option, appealing for those switching from more expensive brands.
This my second HJC Rpha helmet. I previously had the 90S. The new 91 is lighter carbon fibre construction. It has a plush lining and easy opening flip front mechanism. Very happy with the purchase!
Excellent quality, comfort, with great visibility.
Vents and sun visor easily operated.
10 out of 10
First class flip-up helmet very comfortable out of the box good venting no visor misting.
Always liked the fit of HJC my last was a 90s.
This one is a lot more comfy to wear and less noisy.
Quiet, fits me well (Shoei and Schubert did not, for which my wallet is grateful). Discontinued coulourway bought at 35% discount. Came with pinlock in the box (advertised as pinlock ready). Was able to fit my existing original Sena 50R rather than buy the integrated HJC Smart 50B.
I tried on a few similar helmets and to be fair this was not my original 1st choice, but after comparing it to the others it was clearly better suited to me !!
Always liked HJC products but never owned one. The fit is very good, and first impressions are of a quiet helmet with a plush lining and excellent ventilation.
The build quality and packaging was excellent! The color is matt finished, which the pictures initially misled me to believe that it was glossy. However, it's a handsome looking helmet. The delivery was spot on and sportsbikeshop even obliged a 10% return as the prices were revised as part of the black friday sales.
My first modular helmet, feel a lot more comfortable than my full face helmet.
Sleek design, well priced compared to other top end helmets and a quick delivery
I purchased this helmet after extensive research, comparing such things as weight, quietness, ease of use and features and it ticked all my boxes. I have had, in the past, high end modular helmets i.e. Shoei Neotec and this HJC compares favourably in all aspects at half the price.
Great fit for me being a medium. I would say very true to size. Schuberth C5 medium wasn t nearly as snug. Venting seems excellent and all round vision much better than my previous helmet Scorpion adx1. The tinted visor comes all the way down and slightly out and is not too dark so can be used more often. I m extremely happy with my purchase and Sportsbikeshop got it to me within 18 hours which I'm still amazed at.
My first non-Arai helmet, bought solely on reviews and I couldn’t be happier. First modular helmet, too. The fit is perfect, the inners are soft and comfortable and it’s very light considering it’s modular. So far, an excellent lid.
This is a very well built helmet. Having tried on every flip lid I could find, the shape of my head meant it became a choice between the RPHA and Neotech3. The HJC importer Oxford Products was offering a large discount on the Metallic Blue helmet and that £300 saving for helmet and mesh intercom combined became the deciding factor. I didn’t have any doubts about my choice until some riding experience (once ridden, that removes the option to take the product back) when I discovered that the RPHA generates an uncomfortable amount of wind noise particularly with the visor open. Annoying.
Good helmet with great features, eyebrow vents are great. Super easy to fit a comms system (Cardo Freecom4x. Well built. Sizing is good. Have not yet had it out so can’t comment on wind noise however with my cardo playing music I am unable to head anything over the music so I have no doubts it will be quiet. Came from a flip front carbon LS2.
As with all helmets, you need to try them on before you buy, as we all have different shaped heads. This hjc rpha 91 is the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn and I have tried a lot of helmets in my 67 years.
Superb feel and fit. used with a sena intercom that was so easy to fit.
everything feels classy on this helmet, the latch is sublime.
the sun visor however whilst looking dark is relatively useless.
Not liking the claustrophobic feel of a full face helmet I've been wearing an open face. Then I tried this on and this is a game changer! There is a gap between my chin and the helmet when the face is down so you dont feel as claustrophobic. Really comfy helmet and thoroughly recommend
