Not the slightest bit water proof

I Was looking for a spring/autumn jean something that looked good wasn't too heavy and could handle a shower, these aren't them after , even after rewaxing them there let water though the fabric and also the air vent zips aren't remotely waterproof, so money not well spent , but do look good ,also too cold in winter and too hot in the summer

They are great for use and worth every penny. Pity my 29inch inseam makes the protection fairly low on the knees especially.
Merlin, do one for shorter legs as well please :-/

Stylish wax cotton trouser

First off the fit is great and these trousers are really comfortable. I bought 2xl which according to the size guide is 38, in truth I'm probably a 40. Sadly two of the belt loops were hanging off, this was an easy fix, but disappointing. They have kept me dry in light rain and aren't too hot on warm days. So far I'm pleased, usual great service from SBS.

Awesome British made water resistant Textile Pant

These Merlin Lombard Lite offer an excellent alternative in the Merlin range. Match up to any Textile Jacket that they do. Comfortable. Loads of pockets for storage. The vent zips is a brilliant addition when the weather is warmer. Love the cut of the pants and pair great with a Merlin boot the ghost armour is hardly noticeable. They dry off quick as well if you're caught in a down pour.
They are a brilliant addition to my Merlin Bike gear collection.

Excellent all weather wax cottons

I had tried finding a wax cotton that offers reasonable protection with classic style, Merlin have come up trumps, wax cotex cotton lovely fit very comfortable on the bike with hip and knee protection, streets ahead of the old fashioned wax cottons really nice quality Matches my wax Merlin jacket. Sportsbikeshop as usual superb, easy to deal with, next day delivery.

These are lightweight and match my Edale jacket perfectly, really nice fit and comfortable to wear, I haven't tried it in the wet but assume it will be as good as my Edale jacket which is good in the wet.
