Warning... once you've used the Boa securing system on boots you may never want to go back to a zip
I’ve only done about 300 miles in them so far, but they’re light, comfortable, more breathable (unsurprisingly) than my waterproof boots, the Boa system works well and I like the added assurance of a higher boot with shin protection. Adding to that, the boots are also slim enough to fit under my riding jeans, unlike any other taller boots I’ve tried, so happy with that. But - and it’s quite a but - there’s no CE standard protection in the boot, a disappointment given these are not cheap and come from a big name manufacturer. The boots have TPU reinforcement but how difficult and expensive would it be for a company like Alpinestars to add at least CE ankle protection? So overall a good boot but must do better.
These boa boots are perfect middle ground for.me compared to my smx-6 and trainer like urban footwear....
Comfy with level 2 protection that don't squeek when walking...plus silver...!
