Shark Skwal i3 - Rhad Blue / Black / Silver

Build quality is very good especially at the lower price point vs other helmets. The lights are bright enough and are a great additional feature. The fit is good and very comfortable. Only downside is that windnoise could be better. The fact that you can comfortably fit glasses into the space provided and still make use of the inner sun visor is also a great point.

Really nice stylish lid, love the light package especially for night rides on b roads, easy to remove and install visor. Not noisy at speed either

Good helmet, easy to fit intercom. Only downside quite noisy when around the 70mph mark, even with ear plugs. Otherwise really happy.

love the helmet its comfy feels nice to wear, downside is the hole for the speakers is covered with some padding that you cant remove so sound is really quite. and the lights even tho turned off randomnly flashs even when not using the helmet.

Smooth airflow over the helmet with less drag than my Shoei GT Air but the ventilation could be better.
I couldn't tell if the vents were open or closed, and no rear vents. Can't ask for it all!
The light system is great. Easy to use by just clicking over and over for different modes.
Sun visor covers my entire vision and the visor itself is nice and wide.
Visor stays in place when partially opened but makes a loud whistle when fully open, even at low speed.

The unique thing about this helmet is the lights. They really do work, and greatly increase your visibility. Pros include the brake light coming on under engine breaking when the bikes lights wouldn't, great safety feature. The back of your head is often a far more visible place as well.

Apart from that, it's a great helmet in the usual ways. Comfortable, light enough, looks good, decent safety credentials.

I really like the idea of lights in a helmet. Unfortunately the brake light did not work properly. But again sportbikeshop excellent service replaced the helmet within a couple of days cannot recommend this company enough.

A noisy crash helmet, you will need earplugs. There are a couple of things you will need to know, the earholes inside the helmet are a little small and after half an hour, your ears will feel squashed and a bit sore, I feel we need more padding there. The second thing when charging make sure the lights are flashing slowly, then it will be charging. Otherwise you will do what I did, charge it for 12 hours and the lights weren't flashing and it did not work. People look at you while driving because they're amazed with the lights they work brilliant if I could give 100% I would for the lights but not for the other stuff

Awesome all round helmet with the added safety of front and rear lights.
The lights are quite bright and really make you visible in poor light conditions.
Only had mine a few weeks but get used every day for my 35 mile work commute...in the dark. Anything that can help car drivers see me is a plus in my book.

New 22.06 certification makes this a bigger helmet than my previous one, although exactly the same weight. Premium feel. Really good fit, plenty of room for 40mm speakers for intercom, liked the way the visor latches at several positions and seals shut with a click. Much queiter than previous helmet. Feel much safer with the automatic brake light. Highly recommended.

Really impressed with this helmet. Massive step up in quality from Shark compared to a previous DSkwaal I owned. LEDs much brighter. It's obvious from driver behaviour that I am seen in traffic in low light conditions by wearing the helmet. Comfortable, quiet, draught free. Colours match my MT09SP too ! Highly recommended and top service from SBS as always

Had recently decided my elderly HJC flip front was getting a little past its best.
Tried a few HJC helmets on but alas they didn't seem comfortable, so I decided to look around at other brands.
I had already decided to switch back to a full face so started trying other brands on within budget and by far the most comfortable were the Sharks, wanted something fairly plain as I don't like gaudy and the Skwal seemed to fit the bill perfectly with the led lighting an added bonus because I'm a sucker for a gadget.
The helmet to me has a premium feel to it, the interior feels very plush and the exterior finish is excellent.
As for the lighting I'm sold on it as a few people I know have seen me out said it was really noticeable and just adds a little extra layer of safety.
If you are fitting a cardo intercom just be aware the JBL speakers are quite a tight fit into the deep cutouts, but with a little care it can be done.
Would definitely buy again.
