Rev'it Airwave 4 Textile Jacket - Silver / Anthracite

Bought this for a trip to France with temperature of 39/40c. Jacket allows plenty of air to keep you as cool as possible in those temperatures. Good fit and felt secure at all times. Only niggle is that the cuff strap is a bit short if you want the cuff open. I also bought the pants and they were excellent as well.

An upgrade from my current revit airwave just need some good weather to try it out. Off to spain on the 26th September hope to get a lot of use from it?

I'm a massive fan of Rev It and own a lot of their gear, including the Airwave 2 which was a much better quality and safer jacket than this one.

The main reason for the low rating is that they have decided not to use velcro at the waist instead using a simple elasticated string and toggle system. At the tightest settings I can easily pull the jacket way over my chest - even when the jacket is connected to the trousers using the short connection zip!
I have absolutely no confidence this jacket will cover my body during a slide - so being AA rated is irrelevant.

I'm 6'2 average built and the fit is strange for me. The size large is way too tight on the shoulders that I couldn't move freely, so went for the XL which fits perfectly at the shoulders, however, the rest of the jacket is very loose and there's no useful adjustment.
The tops of my arms flap around at motorway speeds, which irritates the skin on my upper arms, and have caused fatigue on long riders, and the bagginess affects the placement of the back protector as I can easily move it from side to side.
All of the above comments would have so easily been avoided if only they had fitted adjustment in the right places.

The flap at the collar is also bulky and very uncomfortable at my neck, so I have to tuck it away at all times.

The good points are that it's a good quality jacket that flows a lot of air, nice big pockets and I really love the design and colours available.

I'm afraid I can't recommend this jacket based on safety grounds, and I'm disappointed that Rev It decided to cut costs by not providing vital adjustments. Hopefully they will reinstate this on the airwave 5.
