Reviews RST's Ranger trousers are meant for serious adventures. So we took a pair on a serious adventure...

Exactly like the Ranger jacket, the fit is amazingly comfortable right from the start. Within minutes you can barely tell you're not wearing your normal bike jeans. The belt fastening method takes a little bit of adjustment but once you have it, it's pretty much one-sided for normal use.
The knee armour on textile pants I've tried on the past has always been an annoyance, either sitting awkwardly and chafing your kneecaps or catching on the top of boots enough to irritate. These somehow do neither which is a godsend, didn't even notice them while riding or walking along.
My only caveat is that you don't seem to be able to stow the waterproof outer layer anywhere, unlike the jacket which fits comfortably in the rear map pocket which can be popped off when needed, the pants lack anything like that brilliant idea. Ah well, can't have everything.
Here’s a suggested heading and customer review you could use (e.g., for SportsBikeShop or similar sites). I kept it positive, natural, and based on your experience while highlighting key features of the RST Pro Series Ranger CE Textile Trousers in Digi Green.
Heading: Top-Notch Adventure Trousers – Great Quality and Even Better Service from SportsBikeShop!
Review: Just received my RST Pro Series Ranger CE Textile Trousers in Digi Green and I’m really impressed. The build quality feels premium right out of the box – solid textile construction, excellent CE Level 2 armour included at knees and hips, plus the clever modular design with removable thermal lining and SinAqua waterproof overtrousers means they’re ready for pretty much any weather or ride.
The Digi Green colour looks sharp in person (not too bright, great for adventure vibes), and the fit is spot-on with good adjustability at the waist and legs – comfortable over boots too.
SportsBikeShop delivered super fast with brilliant customer service as always – no hassle, well packaged, and spot-on sizing advice from their team. Highly recommend these trousers if you’re after versatile, protective textile kit that won’t let you down. 5 stars all round!
Comfortable roomy and very well made . With the jacket is a great all rounder a true go anywhere
I purchased these trousers because I liked the idea of a removable waterproof outer layer, so when it's not raining you feel more comfortable, my old trousers were alpinestar goretex with in built braces good at keeping them up but awkward at times . The rst pro system has 2 velcro belts that you pull tight on your waist,my first pair the belt pulled out of the stitching the very first time I put them on. I rang SBS and they were replaced no quibble, just check all the stitching because it seems a weak point on RST product's
Intended to buy jacket and trousers but did not have my size jacket in stock. Short length no longer available so I purchased standard which were only option.
First ride I wore the trousers and took the overtrousers with me in case of rain. When rain started I pulled up in half a mile to put on overtousers but in this time I was soaked. The overtrousers are not easy to get on with boots, but once on kept me from getting any wetter all day. So quality good, 4pockets ,2 zipped but I expected better from the trousers when worn on their own. In consequence I did not but the jacket and wished I had bought different trousers
Good ventilation in warm weather.
I bought the Ranger trousers and matching jacket. I’m very pleased with it. I don’t ride in the rain much so didn’t want a waterproof suit. The fact it comes with waterproofs is amazing and a full level two body armour. The suit is a bit heavy and the body armour is clumpy but is thicker level 2 and all feels fine when it’s on. The pads are adjustable (knee and elbow) so you can find the right fit. Sizing runs small so you’ll probably want to size up. I’m a XL in most things but needed an XXL. I would highly recommend this trousers and jacket.
These are an upgrade from my, over 5 years old Paragon 5 trousers. The sizing was different. My old trousers were medium but these new ones, in a medium were too big and too long (I'm a 31" 32" in jeans). I finally settled for the small with standard leg length and they fit well.
As I wear this kit every day, all weathers, to commute, the outer, waterproof trousers are great. Good side pockets too. Also, the ventilation is a plenty. Looking forward to the summer.
Great out of the box
I've done about 5000 miles in these trousers. Since April.
Belt loop failed on a recent trip and was sent back for repairs to sbs.
Excellent returns policy made this a very easy process.
The belt loop is a different design to my other rst trousers so will have to see if will stand the test of time.
Great protection included and the waterproof layer is great.
First purchase of a premium product for riding, and oh boy am i blown away.
Look, feel and quality of the item is impeccable, all zippers have a smooth but precise action, and the air flow on a hot summers day with the vents deployed had me chilled all through my ride. Was expecting to be sweltering on arrival, but this was not the case. And it comes water proof over trousers, all included.
Very happy with my purchase.
