Bought this to go into a Spectre d30 jacket as Sportsbike shop only had this to offer that would fit the jacket when I collected it. Pretty poor choice in store.
It’s very heavy and thick and not suitable for the Spectre jacket as it has no ventilation. Very sweaty back when riding in hot conditions which defeats the purpose of the jacket. Would be fine in normal jacket if you want level 2 protection.
I will be replacing with a d30 level 1 protector which will be far lighter and more comfortable.

I thought I d try this over my usual £15 DXR as it seems stiffer (less squidgy) and lighter. Not sure is stiffer or softer is more protective, but it fits well and is comfortable.. would buy again (although double the price Of the DXR)

Easy to install. Is secure and is comfortable within one peice. Extremely convenient and without the faff of back protectors with straps. Haven't tested on circuit yet but was impressed.

Expensive bit of rubber

This back protector fits snuggly into the pocket of my RST jacket and is fairly easy to put in and take out when I wear the jacket off the bike. It isn't too intrusive in use - I don't quite feel like a ninja turtle, unlike some other back protectors. My only gripe, and hence the 4 stars, is the price: £30 is way too much for a slab of rubber.
