Expensive bit of rubber

This back protector fits snuggly into the pocket of my RST jacket and is fairly easy to put in and take out when I wear the jacket off the bike. It isn't too intrusive in use - I don't quite feel like a ninja turtle, unlike some other back protectors. My only gripe, and hence the 4 stars, is the price: £30 is way too much for a slab of rubber.

Good level 2 back protector

Bought this to go in my RST jacket and once I worked out how to get it in, it fitted perfectly. I can't comment on how well it works and hopefully never will but it seems unnoticeable in use.

RST S-1 Suit Back Protection

Purchased this to enhance the protection level of the suit, its entirely personal what level you choose and for me this made sense. Easy to fit to the suit via a built in mesh pocket, and on my first ride out I genuinely was impressed how comfortable it was. A good investment. Delivery within 24 hrs so very happy.

Bought this to go with my RST S1 jacket and of course it fits perfectly in the liner. This is one bit of bike kit I never want to try out! It's reassuringly thick however, about 20mm, so if your jacket is particularly close fitting it's something to consider.

Very light and comfortable compared to other protection I've had.
Moulds perfectly around you and doesn't restrict your movements.
Not crash tested yet ( thankfully)
But is a decent level of protection and good value for money

I went for this CE Level 2, on the recommendation of my Son. As an Engineer who is very critical of items, I had instant confidence in this product, an after initially feeling it in my jacket against my back, within 10 minutes of riding it had moulded to my back and became part of me and was comfortable. Great quality.

Came in good time, good quality product too. Never had an RST back protector before but this one feels quite good. It is flexible when in your jacket too so can't feel it, if not barely. Fits perfectly in my back protector pocket too.
