If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Customers have praised this back protector for its comfort, flexibility, and fit across various jackets. Many find it lightweight and breathable, ideal for prolonged wear. The level 2 protection is seen as a significant upgrade, providing added peace of mind. Despite its sturdiness, users often forget it's there due to its slim profile and adaptability. Several customers appreciate its affordable price, considering it well worth the investment for enhanced safety and comfort during rides. A recommended enhancement for improved airflow and protection.
This back protector is lighter than others I have. It is flexible and comfortable probably due to its airy construction. I have in the back of a Richa leather jacket and it doesn't look bulky. I also like that it's Level 2 protection. Very pleased.
Love the lightness and flexibility of this for my Bering XXL Norris Evo jacket but maybe could have bought the slightly smaller variant. I feel it puckers the back a little bit maybe I'm just being a little took critical.
Maybe I could shave off a tiny of three extra external to make it fit that little bit better without impacting the structural and it's safety integrity. Maybe not. It's been in the jacket for months now and I don't notice when I'm wearing it.
Hopefully I'll never need this but it's lighter than my smaller level 2 Oxford in my other jacket.
Fits my Belstaff Crosby perfectly. Great bit of armour
I bought this to replace the slither of foam that came in an Alpinestars leather jacket. Its nice and flexible, but the size is relatively small. The jacket I fitted it into is a UK 40, euro 50 so a small/medium and I bought the medium size back protector, but the large size would most likely have fitted as well or better.
Feels great in jacket. Flexible and looks like it will do the job
Very flexible and breathable and an upgrade on the L1 ghost my jacket has previously.
It should be noted that the extra protection comes at least twice as thick though.
Light and comfortable .
I purchased two of these back protectors recently, one to fit in my Scott Supelight jacket and one for an RST Kevlar Hoodie. The fit in both of these (non-related manufacturers) garments was spot-on and the difference in breathability, particularly in the hoodie is very noticeable and increases comfort by some considerable margin. The D30 material is lovely and flexible and it conforms to your body without really being noticeable when riding. The sizing of these products has been identified in the FAQ section of Sportsbikeshop’s product info. to help determine the best fit for your garment’s back protector pocket. As said previously, in my opinion, the breathable structure of the protector is much more comfortable to wear than a solid style design and the price is very competitive Recommended..
Perfect fit for my mild summers day riding jacket, very comfy and not to heavy.
Perfectly comfortable. Cannot tell it is in the jacket as it moulds to body shape.
Excellent service, as always, from SBS Staff.
I previously had the standard L2 yellow foam armour in my pullover armoured hoodie, which was so rigid that it made putting it on quite difficult. It would always pull the hoodie back and strangle me plus so many other annoying little things.
Since buying this product, it has been perfect. It s lightweight so I usually forget it s there, as it doesn t pull the hoodie back. Putting the hoodie on is a breeze, almost as if putting on a normal hoodie as the flexibility of the armour is fantastic.
BUT although it is flexible, it is certainly true that it goes solid on impact. trust me I tried punching it certainly went proper solid
Anyways, if you are looking to upgrade your bike armour then this D30 back protector is definitely worth the low price.
This product is true to size and feels really robust. Hope I’ll never have to test it.
lightweight, amazing flexibility and cooler in this recent warm weather, staff were superb
This was thicker than I was expecting but fitted perfectly in my Spada leather sports jacket. Super flexible when wearing and has lots of space for air flow, I barely notice its there.
Flexible and comfortable.
Tried many back protectors over the years and this one is just perfect. Fits well in my Gortex jacket and your really don't know its there. CE level 2 in a bonus. Great price and quick free delivery. Well Pleased.
I bought this to go with a new jacket that I had recently picked up (A Richa Phantom Prime XL) and it fitted perfectly. While you feel that it's there, the flexibility means that it moves with you. Very happy.
just what I wanted, fits my jacket perfectly , hardly know it’s there when wearing the jacket. Very good price and quick delivery . Many thanks again Sportsbikeshop.
