You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...
Customers appreciate the LS2 adventure helmet for its exceptional value, comfort, and quality, noting a snug but manageable fit that adapts over time. The integrated sun visor is well-received, and the helmet's lightweight design offers excellent visibility. Some customers highlight minor issues, such as noise and fogging, suggesting purchasing a pinlock insert to mitigate this. Despite these concerns, many consider it a great choice for its price, suitable for both road and off-road adventures, and commend its durability and practical features.
I tested this helmet for the first time on a 200 mile ride on A-roads and dirt trails (Salisbury Plain and Fosse Way) on an Africa Twin.
The helmet was comfortable and secure from the start and I could easily wear goggles with the visor down.
This helmet is quite noisy (I wear ear plugs) and I would prefer a double D-ring fastener rather than the ratchet. However this is a good first helmet for off-road riding.
Good fit , visors don't mist but used anti-mist spray ( just to be sure) brought for green lane type riding. Very happy with it.
Bought this just to wear at the ABR festival. A really fair priced helmet that provided plenty of visibility. Lightweight with a very comfortable fit, even in the extreme heat we experienced. After the festival it was very easy to clean away all the dirt and grim. Would have appreciated the sun visor dropping a cm lower, otherwise great value for money
The overall fit is very good, albeit the strap is a little tight under my chin and this will need to be loosened off, but not too much, for obvious reasons (that of safety).
The weight of the helmet is very manageable too. The vision is good and being in the hot and humid Philippines, the helmet offers good ventilation and the drop down sun visor makes this a great choice.
The cocoas scheme of the white, blue and red compliments both my Honda CRF300L and my XL750 Transalp.
I recommend this product.
This is by far the worst helmet I have ever had the cheek pads feel OK but after riding for 1 hour they start the get tight. The noise is terrible even with eye plugs
The buckles red tag to release the catch gets stuck.
The visor steam up even when it's 28oC. You can set the visor open a little bit there's no rachet to hold it open a little but.
Good quality and value for money
Very good fit and weight for price of helmet great value. .
Comfortable when riding and no buffing from the peak at high speed .
Shame it does not come with pin lock as it is needed for bad weather riding on order
I was very pleasantly surprised by the features, fit and build quality of this helmet. The peak is easily removable in a minute with the supplied Allen key.
I was expecting to get some noise turbulence from the peak but there is none
Quality feel and fit for a mid range helmet. Good visibility from visor. Unfortunately no pinlock comes with helmet and needs purchasing but visor is ready for pinlock. Nice finish on shell. Comes with helmet cover and quick release buckle. Great value price for an LS2.
Great value helmet , very light compared to my older Bell version , guys helpful as usual and gave advice on the Cardo system I bought at the same time and got extra discount,
I had the previous iteration and wore the thing to death. Comfortable, looks decent with good safety rating. And a bit of a bargain I reckon.
I’m really impressed with this helmet. It’s lightweight and feels premium in terms of material and finish. One clever feature I love is that you don’t need to remove the visor completely if you want to keep it open and wear goggles — super handy. The design is sleek and the orange/white combo looks amazing on the road. Great value for the price!
I loved my previous Pioneer EVO and used it for many years. You couldn't close the vents which made it tough in the colder months. The new Pioneer II does have closing vents so ticks all the boxes for me. It is a snug fit to begin with, but not uncomfortable. Remember to purchase the Pin Lock visor with the helmet as fogging is a big issue otherwise. The peak doesn't seem to shake and the field of vision is excellent. I've bought more expensive helmets in the past but the LS2's are still my go to lids and are a great price.
Amazing value really! I went up a size than normal due to the last few helmets pinching my forehead. Paint finish is great and the internal visor is good. Worn once and it was comfy from the off. Misted up with the visor down so need to add a pinlock insert (which is available) from sportsbikeshop when you order
The Pioneer 11 is a really great value helmet. The fit is 'snug' but I'm sure will 'give' a little with more use. Brought to take to Morocco for an upcoming off-road touring adventure! Quite light with a really good field of vision.
Very impressed. Lightweight, very comfortable and quality feel of a much more expensive helmet.
As per other reviews, it's on the smaller size of fit.
Very fast service as usual. Great helmet good price
Fantastic budget helmet, padding fit is a little weird but after a long weekend riding it seems to fit nicely.
A little wind noisy at speed but to be expected from the shape and price.
The integrated sun visor s
Doesn't cover as much as my shoei helmet but is very useful and does the job.
Also it took a bit of time to remember the venting control for the front is Inside the helmet chin.
Cardo integrated well with cut outs inside for the speakers and mic.
Steams up quickly so I advise anyone wanting one of these to get a pin lock insert or some spray.
