Weise Siberian Waterproof 1 Piece Suit - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Great suit, poor zipper
Very warm and keeps you dry in the rain. However, the zip is made of poor quality metal. My suit is only one week old and the zipper snapped off when I was closing it, making this suit useless. Will return it for a replacement and hope this was a one-off fault.
Dry & Cosy!
Fully tested on M25 during daily commute, beware this is over-sized, you don't need to go larger than your normal size, you can wear your armoured jacket and trousers underneath. Make sure you overlap the velcro fully to keep the rain out, my wife released the elastic at the front waist to make it more comfortable. My last Weise lasted 20 years! I wear a reflective belt over the top for dark days.
Dry from the neck down
This suit is 100% to keep you dry and warm. first time I wore it the heavens opened up , for half an hour of my journey rain lashed heavy. when I stopped at my work place I took off the suit and I was dry as a bone and warm. amazed. if you buy anything then buy this suit.
One piece quilted Suit
The suit is very warm, fits well and does protect you from all the elements. If ordering then I would order the next size up from what you normally wear. The only issue with this suit however is the Zip. This suit would be a lot better if a stronger zip was fitted, even if it increased the price the suit would still be a great buy. I have been wearing this over the winter and only need to wear a Tshirt and light jumper underneath to keep warm.
A few flaws
Really nice and warm but you could only really use it in the cold, it'd boil you in mild weather and not breathable whatsoever. Sizing about right. I'm 5'8" 30" leg and Medium fits fine. The legs would be too short if you had much longer legs though I'd say. Fairly easy to get on and off although could do with a longer zip on legs/ankle. Arm cuffs are a little to wide . The neck is the main downside I have found it's too tight. I don't think I have a particulars broad neck either! Certainly not a flattering fit. It'll keep you warm and dry in winter though.
Ultimate winter commute
Bought this for the winter commute and already done a couple of 1hr runs in torrential rain with no leaks, but I will warn you unless it's below 10deg you will sweat up. Might be a bit 80's (as described by some credit card bikers) but I'm the one laughing at £85 !!!!
I was pleased with the suit until I noticed the huge rip that appeared on the zip. It does a good job of keeping the cold and wet out, but I was wary from day one weather it would last. I only commute so god knows how this happened. I've asked Sportsbikeshop if they are prepared to replace it, fingers crossed they will. Even though it's not the most expense item in the world, it's still a fair amount to fork out for only a months use.
