Verified Customer Reviews for Richa Rain Warrior Trousers
Customers generally found the Richa waterproof trousers to be of high quality, durable, and effective in keeping them dry during wet conditions, with a snug fit that goes well over existing clothing. Some customers noted issues with leakage, particularly in the crotch area, but others have used them successfully in heavy rain without any water seeping through. The trousers offer convenient features like Velcro leg closures but could benefit from more waist cord length and potentially accommodating various leg lengths.
These are just to chuck in my bag or to take the chill off on an early morning ride, I’m more than happy with them.
This is actually the second richa product I bought from sportsbikeshop that is sold as a 100 prosent water proof product made of PVC and it turns out to be made of polyester. The seller don't seem bothered to answer my questions about the matter.
Fits true to size (I'm a 34" and ordered the equivalent size), and performs it's job admirably. Caught out thanks to classic British weather, popped these on and remained bone dry.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Dependable Protection for Wet Weather
I’ve been using the Rocha rain trousers for several weeks now, and they’ve quickly become a must-have piece of kit for the outdoors.
Waterproofing:
They do exactly what they promise. Even in heavy downpours, the fabric holds up brilliantly, keeping my legs completely dry without any annoying seep-through at the seams. The water beads and rolls straight off, which makes them easy to shake dry once the rain passes.
Comfort & Fit:
Unlike some rain trousers that feel stiff or plasticky, these are lightweight and flexible, which means I can move freely whether I’m walking, cycling, or kneeling down. The adjustable waistband and ankle zips make them easy to slip on quickly, even over boots, and they don’t ride up or sag after extended wear.
Breathability:
One of the standout features is how well they balance waterproofing with breathability. I’ve worn them during long hikes, and they didn’t leave me hot or clammy — a real bonus compared to cheaper alternatives.
Durability:
The material feels tough enough to handle everyday use and the odd brush with brambles or rough ground. After several outings, they still look almost new, with no scuffs or fraying at stress points.
Overall:
The Rocha rain trousers are a fantastic investment if you want reliable wet-weather protection without sacrificing comfort. They’re practical, well-made, and versatile enough for walking, cycling, festivals, or just keeping in the car for emergencies. I wouldn’t head out in unpredictable weather without them.
First, I have given 4 stars not 5 as I haven’t managed to get out in the rain yet so they might increase in acclaim. Tried these on in store as ride all year. Was impressed by the lower leg width as I needed to get them over my winter Alpinestars Tech 7 boots. Great price, I was expecting to pay more.
No need to size up if you have Richa gear underneath, buy the same size as your jacket as it’s made to go over the top
Very comfortable, not tried it out yet but so far very happy
This is only an inexpensive kit but it does keep out the rain and wind and can be folded tightly into a back pack.
Good value for money in my opinion. Compact and light, easy to carry and use when needed.
Bought these (and the jacket) as a replacement for a one piece, which I found almost impossible to get on at the start of a downpour. Kept me totally dry on a drenched trip across France on the way to the Shuttle, and beyond. Shop staff were first class.
Purchase these and the corresponding jacket to replace my Richa Typhoon one piece that go ripped.
SO much easier to get on and off in a hurry, came through some torrential rain in the lake district for a few hours and seemed to cope well. nothing is completely waterproof but they did a very good job. The cuffs are nice and tight which stops water running up your gloves.
Reccomended.
Brilliant keeps me dry in heavy rain
Finally got a pair that keep me dry even in the crotch area. been through extremely heavy rain in the last few a they really done there job
Took the advice of many other reviewers and went down a size to small since I am normally a medium.
Great fit with plenty of room without being too baggy. Velcro at ankles means you can get them on without taking boots off, most important in a downpour. Can vouch for them being 100% waterproof. Storage bag is a nice touch and keeps them tidy in the pannier.
These pants are great as an emergency shower pants but wouldn't recommend for prolonged rain use, I wore first time on my mod 1 training in 2 hours of rain and my groin and rear were soaked through so they must leak through the seam whilst sitting on the bike but would be the go to for a shower over your jeans.
Fits great and easy to put on unlike some others.
Seem well made. Not tried in rain yet
Bought this for my wife on the recommendation of the lady in the Boston store and she’s been very happy with it.
All good, absolutely no issues so far, does the job and affordable too.

Reading other people's questions you say the trousers and jacket are designed as over garments. To clarify that.
