K&N Powersports Oil Filter - KN-204-1
Customer Product Reviews
Great filters at a decent price - fit these and forget, knowing that your pride and joy is being well looked after. The nut on the end makes removal a breeze - no more hammering screwdrivers through filters and showering the garage in old oil :o) Why don't all filters have one? Worth buying for that detail alone.
Perfect timing and quality
At 15 euro total (delivery incl.) this is the best priced KN204 filter I was able to find online for my Honda VFR1200 (the OEM filter at the Honda stealership costs 24 euro). The shipment arrived just on time and the filter appears to be durable and of high quality. Unlike other filters I've used, the rubber seal on this one is pre-oiled, so you just remove the plastic cover on it and you mount it (using the handy nut) - nice touch.
No to chrome
I have previously reviewed this filter and my views are unchanged. It's awesome but I can not give the CHROME version 5 stars for 2 reasons. The chrome rusts and pits and therefore looks old after 1 year of riding and for some reason this time round the 17mm nut on the filter rounded off and was useless straight away!! Maybe because the rusty chrome is less strong I don't know. Go for black version in my opinion everytime!!
The Best a bike can get
I will not fit anything other than K and N to all my vehicles. You get more MPG more power and more acceleration. I have done over 4 thousand miles and a trip to the Isle of Man TT over the last year and not once have I had a sniff of trouble or the bike not start. The filter is very durable has a nut welded on which makes removal a breeze compared to others whereby nothing but the screwdriver method works potentially damaging your vehicle. This time round I have gone with the all chrome version. Yes it's one downside is price compared to others.
