Nolan have unveiled the new X-804 ST helmet, a road-focused development of their high-performance X-804 RS racing helmet.
The new lid combines much of the technical foundation of the X-804 RS with a subtler aerodynamic profile and built-in provision for communications.
Only the X-804 ST Ultra Carbon versions will be available in the UK, bringing carbon-fibre construction to a helmet Nolan say is for riders who appreciate a high-performance lid.
The X-804 ST retains the X-804 RS performance-oriented construction and much of the character of Nolan’s flagship.
The biggest visual change comes at the rear, where Nolan have replaced the RS model’s racing spoiler with a shorter version, giving the ST a cleaner silhouette.

Another major difference is communication compatibility. The X-804 ST has been designed to work with Nolan’s N-Com Bluetooth+ and N-Com Mesh systems, giving a neater integrated option than fitting a conventional universal intercom.
Developed in partnership with Sena, the Bluetooth+ system provides rider-to-rider communication alongside phone calls, music and navigation instructions.
Riders travelling in larger groups can instead use N-Com Mesh, which adds Mesh communication while retaining access to navigation, music and calls.
The changes give the X-804 ST a slightly different brief from its more track-focused stablemate.
Nolan say it remains distinctly sporty, but with a more discreet aerodynamic profile and refined colourschemes.
In the UK, most X-804 ST Ultra Carbon colourschemes will carry a list price of £499.99. The Carbon Oscuro version sits above the rest of the range at £569.99. In our pictures, that’s the model with a distinctive carbon-fibre and a chequerboard-style appearance.
There’s no confirmed UK on-sale date yet and we’ll update this report once we know when the first helmets will become available.
