Garmin Zumo XT2 Motorcycle Sat Nav
11 May 2026 by Anthony M
Garmin Zumo XT2 Motorcycle Sat Nav I have had mirroring devices around the £200 + mark but not a patch on the XT2. You certainly get what you pay for. Solid well made, dedicated gps, no problem when there is no phone signal, charges straight off the bike (BMW 1250gs) using a 3DAM adaptor, no messing around with keeping your phone charged or carrying a battery pack. (mirroring devices eat phone batteries). The power of the XT2 is unbelievable, like a mini computer. I ride 99.9 % on road in the UK and Europe, planning routes/tracks using OsmAnd, it is easy then to transfer them to the Tread app and onto the XT2 where you can leave them as track or it will convert them into a turn by turn route. The processor is very quick also the re-routing. My main gps for the past 11 years has been a TomTom Rider 400 which has served me well but the XT2 is light years ahead. Off to France and Spain in June all routes loaded so let's see how it performs over about 3500 miles.

It’s good if you have somewhere to fit it
Garmin Handlebar Controller
09 May 2026 by Jim
Garmin Handlebar Controller On the Goldwing 2019 DCT it does not have standard handlebars therefore I could only fit it to the left side accessory section , it fits there really well but different mounting options would help

Top notch Motorcycle sat-nav
Garmin Zumo XT2 Motorcycle Sat Nav
09 May 2026 by Jim
Garmin Zumo XT2 Motorcycle Sat Nav The first one I received was an out of the box failure, the store quickly got another one and swapped it out. Use with the Tread app for additional info such as live traffic and weather. I’m also using the handlebar controller which means you have to purchase a separate cable . On the 2019 Goldwing DCT I did not want a handlebar mount so used a mount from Traxxion.

Garmin Sat-Nav - Zumo XT
03 May 2026 by k
Garmin Sat-Nav - Zumo XT I have had tomtom rider 400 but after map issues decided to update and brought the 550 1st one did not load up properly exchanged it for a second one that would not connect properly with my head seat
Exchanged that for the xt its a bit different to use and I m still getting use to it but works fine more motorcycles oriented and more features than the tomtom
I would like to say Adam at the Norwich store was above and beyond helpful
