Shoei Helmets

I like the fit of the shoei nxr2 must have the right head shape as I also have a shoei Jo both helmets are size large the nxr2 is tighter to get on but that's to be expected with a full face compared to an open face, but once my head pops in it's a perfect fit just like the Jo. The vents work very well and have two open settings and feel very robust, the pinlock is included and the visor is easy to remove and replace once you get the nack. The helmet in my opinion is nice and quiet, even with the visor cracked on the first setting which is just right even at speed on a hot day. And the Matt blue goes very nicely with the honda matt jeans matalic of my tank.

What can I say – these are genuine Shoei cheek pads, but in 31 mm thickness instead of the standard 35 mm thickness that comes in the medium size helmet. Being that little bit thinner, they gave my helmet a more comfortable fit over my chubby cheeks !

I've used Schuberth Flip helmets for over 15 years, but needed something lighter due to neck issues. 1st ride was an 1,800 mile tour of France in 35' heat. The helmet excelled, ventillation was good, fit was excellent and so light I didnt know it was on my head. Fitting a cardo that I ordered at the same time was a breeze. The service from sportsbike shop was excellent as always.

The Shoei NXR2 is a brilliant upgrade to the original NXR, with improved safety features and an impressive 5-star SHARP safety rating. It’s incredibly comfortable to wear, feels slightly lighter than the previous model, and offers good wind noise management, making it easy and comfortable to listen to music on longer rides if that’s something you enjoy.

The overall quality and finish are exactly what you’d expect from Shoei, with excellent attention to detail throughout. The fit is superb, and the helmet feels secure without compromising on comfort. I also absolutely love the graphics on this one—they really stand out and give the helmet a premium look.

Overall, the NXR2 is a fantastic helmet that combines safety, comfort, and great styling. Highly recommended.

Just to add that it comes with a clear visor. I bought a separate photochromic visor as you can see on pictures

I have suffered with pain around the forehead with my other helmets, but this Shoei GT Air 3 is super comfortable.
Nice and quiet (especially with the top vent closed) and it was great that it was also delivered with a Pinlock.
I would seriously recommend this helmet - it’s worth paying that bit more.
