By the time a Shoei helmet leaves the factory in Ibaraki, Japan, it will have gone through at least 50 pairs of hands during its creation. Shoei prides itself on making helmets by hand, and that's one of the reasons why the brand is so highly regarded by motorcyclists all over the world. Shoei made its first motorcycle helmet back in 1960 and has been responsible for a host of world-firsts as it's become one of the world's foremost helmet manufacturers. It created its first helmet with a carbon-fibre shell as long ago as 1976 and can claim to be the first company to develop chin skirting, integrated visor mountings and controllable air intakes to keep riders cool. The range covers everything from sleek urban helmets through to the most advanced racing protection on the planet. This helmet feels so “premium” after bunch of mid range Nolans, Agvs and Bells in 13 years of motorcycling. Very plush inside. M size fits my 57cm head like a glove. Visor is easy to operate. Also the colours are amazing. Easy to install a 3rd party intercom.

Only problem with the delivery. I ordered it on Wednesday night and it said delivery on Friday. But DPD tried delivering it on Monday to collection point. But they couldn’t. Saying the box is too big for collection point. Even though I used the same collection point for same size of box a few days ago. So in the end they delivered it to my home on next Wednesday.

SBS was very helpful. They even price matched it.

Too expensive for what it it is in my opinion. But mine lasts for about 5,00miles although I don't commute now in all weathers. Along with the associated Pinlock insert this is quite a major purchase. Good value? Not sure but the quality is very high in fairness.

Shoei GT Air 3 - Scenario TC-3 Shoei GT Air 3 - Scenario TC-3
The GT Air 3 is a high quality helmet. I chose it because it has a drop down sun visor, pinlock anti-mist shield, and a micro ratchet chin strap closure. It comes standard with a chin curtain that helps reduce turbulence and noise inside the helmet. I also like that it is available in several bright colours, so that it is highly visible to drivers.
