By the time a Shoei helmet leaves the factory in Ibaraki, Japan, it will have gone through at least 50 pairs of hands during its creation. Shoei prides itself on making helmets by hand, and that's one of the reasons why the brand is so highly regarded by motorcyclists all over the world. Shoei made its first motorcycle helmet back in 1960 and has been responsible for a host of world-firsts as it's become one of the world's foremost helmet manufacturers. It created its first helmet with a carbon-fibre shell as long ago as 1976 and can claim to be the first company to develop chin skirting, integrated visor mountings and controllable air intakes to keep riders cool. I fitted this myself which was quite easy and help is available in the form of video tutorials from Sena. I liked the streamline custom fit for the Shoei helmet. The system easily connected to my phone. Having used it the sound quality is surprisingly good and I am told that people speaking to me can't hear any background noise which is good news. Although the buttons are small I have managed to use it OK while wearing gloves. Overall very pleased.

This is my 3rd Neotec. I really rated 1&2, and I’m disappointed with the 3. I’ve had issues with both the integrated comms and the neck padding/scarf coming away from the helmet within a year of ownership. Not one issue with my previous Neotec.
SBS were excellent at sorting out the issues, no fuss, speedy, satisfactory repair.

usual Shoei fit that I've been used to over the years and great update to my old NSX. Visor mechanism has changed but seem ok in the central position. Has speaker cut-outs for intercom (bought separately)

This is my third Noetec helmet and they just keep getting better l have been riding for 60 years now and by now l should know what a good helmet is. This is the one so give it a try.

Shoei Clear CJ-2 Pinlock Insert - J-Cruise / J-Cruise 2 Shoei Clear CJ-2 Pinlock Insert - J-Cruise / J-Cruise 2
At first I thought it was too big to fit but with a little care it was fine, there are videos to show the easiest way to fit a Pinlock. On cold days its a must for me now. Although not necessary (you can just remove it) I do have a second visor so I can just change between one with the Pinlock or one without the Pinlock.
