Shoei Neotec 3 - Anthem TC5

This helmet is really comfortable, I find it a great fit, and it’s quiet with the chin bar clicked soundly into place. It’s clever, with several positions for the visor to open to, and two positions for the chin bar to raise to, with the top position requiring a really firm movement to lock into open or to pull down to closed. The built in dark visor is super-helpful when the sun is in your face and you have a clear visor on. It’s lighter than my Arai too. I don’t get asked to remove it at petrol stations anymore, and facial recognition on my phone works too! All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

This helmet is outstandingly comfortable and I have the new intercom that fits inside which keeps the look of the helmet very tidy.

Firstly I wanted to say that my experience in the Preston store was brilliant. I was able to spend as long as I wanted with the helmet on making sure it fit correctly. The guys installed a smaller skull cap insert to get a better fit, and now I have a very quiet comfortable helmet. Well worth the time.. Helmet lives up to expectations, which for Shoei are very high.

I have had this helmet ever since they were released, so long enough to have come to a conclusion. Firstly it's a Shoei, so usual quality and comfort, had a GT air before this and the main selling point for me on both helmets, the flip down dark visor in the helmet, brilliant feature. Things I don't like about this, visor is way too thick and it distorts, gets worse when it is ajar, ride with it open all the time. Chin piece is a bit of plastic. Strap is too far back, if you have it as tight as it should be, it gets a bit strangly. First helmet I have ever owned without a gold stamp, put me off Shoei as a brand going back to Arai next time.

This is a top quality helmet, well made and an improvement on previous versions. I booked a personal fitting service with Sue at Milton Keynes. Sue did an amazing job and made sure the helmet was a perfect fit. Top service from SBS as it always is.

Loved the colour combo, got a orange Rebel se, also the design (not having to remove helmet in petrol station a big bonus, and when riding into village , open face option. fits like a glove.. great value for money

Another good helmet from Shoei. The only bad point is the visor locking catch which I found awkward to open left handed with gloves.
Upgrading from Neotec 1 found Neotec 3 is slightly quieter

Had fantastic help and advice from the Norwich store staff. Spent time making sure not only that the helmet fit properly but that it was comfortable. Taught me how to use the helmet as they've changed a lot since I last wore one. Great helmet. Great service.

Excellent quality, didn t feel any heavier than my Shoei GT Air, although it did feel slightly noisier when used without ear plugs. Really pleased with the flip, easy to operate and great when riding in hotter weather especially in slow traffic. Overall very impressed!!

Finally took the plunge and got the Neotec 3, absolutely amazed with the comfort of this helmet. Not too much wind noise at high speeds, and the air vents work brilliantly in hot weather.
As usual got a very good price from Sports bike shop, and very quick delivery!!!

After spending 5yrs in a Nexx peaked helmet I decided I want a flip front, unfortunately I dont get on with the strap on the Nexx version and after trying numerous brands settled on the Shoei as its definitely the best.

Plus points, great quality, fits great and comfortable (the Nexx may be a touch better here).

Negative, the price! and the noise! I find this helmet very noisy, I could spend 8hrs in the saddle with the Nexx without earplugs and be ok but this Shoei after a hour or so it starts to get to you, its wind noise but whether I tuck behind my screen (big adv screen) or have my head in clean air makes next to no difference. So not overly impressed with spending nearly double.

I also find the ventilation a bit lacking, it gets very stuffy without having the visor cracked and even on a warm clear day I can see the visor fogging up around the pinlock.
