Advice & Guides You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...

Customers are generally impressed with the HJC helmets, noting their comfort, lightweight construction, and quality features. The helmet's internal sun visor and preparation for communication systems are well-appreciated. Customers highlight the secure D-ring fastener and the effectiveness of the Pinlock system. Ventilation, fit, and the helmet's snug design receive positive comments. The transition from other brands to HJC is seamless, with many appreciating the higher quality compared to their previous helmets. Overall, the HJC helmet offers great value for money.
The service at the Norwich store was faultless. I tried several different helmets, without considering the price. I just wanted a helmet that fitted well and felt comfortable. The F71 was the best for me. I also purchased the HJC 21B intercom, which they fitted there and then.
I've had high end helmets in the past, only to be disappointed with them. This is a quality product.
For the price this offers excellent noise reduction, and fit is very secure.
Firstly, A huge thanks to Duncan at the Glasgow store for the advice and help when I visited. (I didn't go for the Red or Blue Bard in the end, but did get this one :-))
This wasn't really what I had as my 1st choice as had preferred , but being new to biking and being lazy, I had bought helmets in the past without trying them on. So, after a slide and needing a new lid, I took a trip to the Glasgow store. After trying several on, this was a great fit, felt light, had lots of features, the colour scheme kinda went with my Oxford Stormland jacket and a bargain price I opted for this. It also meant I could keep my Cardo Freecom 4X by using a Tubs Jackson adaptor (another great piece of advice from Duncan.)
Due to the weather I haven't actually been out and about with it yet, but have worn it around the house and it's settled in nicely. A proper road test is on the cards in the next week or two.
Normally I'm a AGV kinda guy, but I ended up with my first HJC helmet. I reserved six AGV to try on, came in store and the helpful staff got the helmets. I tried them on and I didn't get a nice fit from any of them, the staff member mentioned HJC which iv never worn so they got some to try on and when I put the Bard on instantly felt comfortable. After some time in store I walked out with my first HJC for my daily ride, I can say its very comfortable and fairly lightweight. Its very quiet helmet, the vents are easy to use on the move and the drops down sunglasses are excellent and like the position of the switch. The pin lock works good and the only issue is when the visors is fully locked down when opening it it's bit more stiff and takes a bit more effort but could be because new. Big thanks to staff at my local SBS.
The helmet fits well, with quality padding and a good fit around the neck, I purchased with integrated comms and find the whole set up really comprehensive and nicely finished. Far better than my previous budget helmet and comparable to some flagships out there.
No dislikes only likes for me, I like the colour and sleek design. Super comfy and very lite compared to other brands. I’m definitely a fan of anything HJC now.
This is my first HJC helmet, fits good, nice looking, first class service from sportsbikeshop
Fantastic looking helmet, with extra features like Comms capability and pinlock
Quality, watched for a while before buying and read reviews. Very happy with my purchase.
The D fastener is a bit tricky until you get used to it ! But overall a great lid, I would recommend it!
After trying on several helmets over the course of an hour, I finally settled on this HJC F71. The fit was perfect and the recess for intercom speakers was in the right position and large enough for the 40mm speakers. Construction of the helmet is excellent with a good external matt finish. It also came with the pinlock inner visor
Sun visor is standard and easy to use. The helmet is very comfortable with a snug fit. Fitting my Cardo intercom looked as though it was going to be an awkward job, but turned out to be a breeze. Very happy indeed with this Helmet.
It is very comfortable. It's looks like very good. Unfortunately, I couldn't try it out while I was on the road due to bad weather.
This HJC crash helmet is light in weight and gives a good level of protection and visibility with the extra plus of a retractable Sun visor built in when required.
It also has been manufactured with the recesses to accommodate the HJC Smart 21B Bluetooth Communication System Device.
Not the most expensive but a good Sharp rating.
This is my first HJC and I'm impressed. It has all the features I was looking for in a sport-touring helmet. Number one was that it must have a D-ring fastener. Fibreglass construction with a drop-down visor and Pinlock. The lid ticks all the boxes.
Good quality, decent paint job, well worth it
I've used several makes of helmet over the years (Arai, Bell, HJC.) For Racing & road riding, I go on the SHARP test rating as it's important to me, I find myself back yet again to HJC with a rating far higher than the price reflects, very comfortable, we have cardo freecom 4x fitted & find less wind noise via the speakers! (Had to go down to XS from S that I normally take in HJC mind) very pleased with the F71 & great service from SBS
